Halifax Scrapping £5/Cinema ticket Rewards.

Thank goodness! That's one of mine extended, the other two are Aug and Dec, so will have to be rolled onto whatever comes next.

come the 18th, they'll have to drop the "reward" account title or have new "rewards" in place?

or may be a "reward" account with no rewards with the promise of something "on its way"?

And just over two weeks before the June renewers will find out if the renewal will be honoured.

The refresh could be happening anytime in the next 6 months. From tomorrow it seems that anyone applying for a new Reward Current Account or wanting to renew their reward for another year will not be able to do so until whenever the refresh happens.

So from tomorrow people can have a Reward Current Account without any rewards for a few months! 🤷‍♂️

They still have the cashback rewards, it's just the rewards extras that are going.

Mine looks like they were setup at the end of August, so I might get all the remaining payments. It's been a good run. 180 quid a year just for a few minutes on my phone every month was pretty good

Those are cashback extras, not cashback rewards.

Does anyone know when the monthly £5 payments will stop? Two of my accounts say the rewards expire end of May 2026 and the other end of March 2026

Likely on those dates, given they have committed to pay for 12 months (assuming you meet the conditions).
