My OH and I have our own Nationwide FlexDirect accounts plus a joint FlexPlus (for bills, etc.) - we have both received a notification but nothing about our joint account, will the bonus be paid into this account?0

Toonnut said:I was sure i met all the criteria for the £100 payment but found i was ineligible as i needed a second account for savings. I never noticed this condition in anything i read leading up to the announcement of the payment. Bit disappointed.1

A useful trick worth knowing - if you have only a joint account open, the payment goes in there and is split in half for interest reporting purposes - so it only uses up £50 of each holder's Personal Allowance. If, like me, one of you is at your personal allowance but the other beneath it, the most efficient thing to do is ensure the person at/approach their allowance has only a joint account, but the person with plenty of allowance also has a sole account - that way they'll get £150 of allowance taken and the allowance-poor party only £50.1
