As you realise, Virgin Money account holders are customers - not shareholders/members of Nationwide.neilpost said:Nothing for Virgin Money members. Again.
- Trousered a VM acquisition related bonus previously
- Ignored just now.
Virgin Money customers are very much second class citizens 👎👎

My OH and I have our own Nationwide FlexDirect accounts plus a joint FlexPlus (for bills, etc.) - we have both received a notification but nothing about our joint account, will the bonus be paid into this account?0

Isn't it per person not per account? One person cannot receive more than one fairer share payment.moneysaver1978 said:My OH and I have our own Nationwide FlexDirect accounts plus a joint FlexPlus (for bills, etc.) - we have both received a notification but nothing about our joint account, will the bonus be paid into this account?

It's per person but joint accounts will qualify both account holders. Joint accounts can receive two payments if both account holders qualify.crumpet_man said:

You needed a savings account (or mortgage) for the Fairer Share last year, and the year before, so it was always very likely that you were going to need one this year as well. You could easily have checked the previous requirements online.Toonnut said:I was sure i met all the criteria for the £100 payment but found i was ineligible as i needed a second account for savings. I never noticed this condition in anything i read leading up to the announcement of the payment. Bit disappointed.1 -
As said by others, the payment is per person.moneysaver1978 said:My OH and I have our own Nationwide FlexDirect accounts plus a joint FlexPlus (for bills, etc.) - we have both received a notification but nothing about our joint account, will the bonus be paid into this account? As you both have individual NWFD accounts, you will both receive the payment in your current account. If you had only the joint account, both payments would be credited there.0 -
A useful trick worth knowing - if you have only a joint account open, the payment goes in there and is split in half for interest reporting purposes - so it only uses up £50 of each holder's Personal Allowance. If, like me, one of you is at your personal allowance but the other beneath it, the most efficient thing to do is ensure the person at/approach their allowance has only a joint account, but the person with plenty of allowance also has a sole account - that way they'll get £150 of allowance taken and the allowance-poor party only £50.1
