The woman on the show was talking about a doll forum. I've searched and can't find it, has anyone found the site please? My Mum would love one of these banies, purely as a doll.July Win: Nokia 58000

If their chld has gone through that and died why would they want a reminder? Why do they want a doll in a state that has got to be one of the worst visual things a parent could possibly see?
I have actually found some more pics of another SCBU baby but to me they are worse, so if you found the last link bad, don't click this one. http://www.babybuntinsnursery.com/outandabout/International_Doll_Show-251107/929 There are more if you click next.
Actually, looking at this on, is it Harry from the programme? I think it is, the pics look the same. It looks like a shrine. http://www.babybuntinsnursery.com/outandabout/International_Doll_Show-251107/

Just looked and saw the comments.. so far I have read the first page of comments.
I like many thought they were very strange. But with watching the program one woman said " well if grown men can have their cars and trains why can't we still have our dolls". Have we forgotten what it was like to be a little girl; who would love to have the most life like doll that we could have, so that we can love it and look after it. We have all grown out of dolls but these woman have not. If I had a daughter I would get her one of these at they would be close to the real thing.
These woman were dressing, bathing, clothing, holding and taking them out in the same way a girl with her doll would. So I just see them as woman who just did not like most woman have grown out of LOVING & CARING for their dolls.
Some men can really get into their cars & trains. Collect them and play with them and do pretent movement with them so why can't us woman be allowed to not grow up without being called weird. They are just as weird as the men who still have a fully running train set in their loft and spend loads of money and time playing with that.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

In a weird roundabout way I get that.
I dont fully understand it but I get it.
But I dont get why they need a 'sick prem' baby complete with wires and machines.
I really dont get that.
Really properly dont.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Bloody 'ell you lot open my eyes to another world!
and tbh I am screwing them shut!
Its not my thing, it feels very much on the outside limits of my 'happy zone'. Why why why is what I ask, and to agree with a poster on here give the money to a childrens ward to aid recovery settles best with me.
I know in the edit the programme makers are protraying the ladies as odd.......as peculiar etc and maybe they did devote as much time and effort to real babies and family, only I don't think so. I don't get it. Thats me and my 'reality' tho.
Each to their own, if they are happy with the fantasy life they are creating, then good for them.Panda xx

Yes, that's true. That's why I've always avoided grown men who don't have a sense of perspective when it comes to inanimate objects! The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0 -

I also watched the programme about the reborn dolls.I felt so sorry for the women in the programme.I felt like crying for both of them. I was very unsettled by the blonde lady who could not cope with anything but perfection(washing dirty wheels on the pram) ,imagine what she would be like if she had a disabled child.Better she has fake babies I say.................I was so sad for the grandma.I hope her daughter watches it and can see how she is hurting. These ladies have real issues and would do much better spending the money on a good therapist.

My hubby was far more disturbed to notice that the blonde lady had the same pram we were planning to buy for our real baby due in March. In the words of a man.Im not having the same pram as a bunch of nutters who are pushing around dead chucky's:rotfl:
Men are from Mars................ ehhwhere is Narnia and how do I get there. That wardrobe salesman lied to me:D0 -

I didn't watch the program but was wondering why you want her daughter to see how much she's hurting? The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0 -

And that my dear is exactly the type of man you avoid, and certainly NEVER marryI saw two shooting stars last nightI wished on them but they were only satellitesIs it wrong to wish on space hardwareI wish, I wish, I wish you'd care0 -
Oooh it was F-reaky!! Maybe the did cleverly edit it to make them look odd but there is a fair amount of oddness without editing methinks! Also, the 80's woman who went to America, her doll was horrible and had creepy-looking hair - I mean surely you would get a nice-looking one for that kinda money?!
The funniest bit was when the wifey that made the dolls kids were playing with the legs and arms, hilarious!!
Also, taking them out in the prams..very strange indeed. "Oh, what a lovely little...errr.....doll?!" Hmm..no!0
