I always use white cabage with my coleslaw. Usually I chop everything up, put in a bowl and cover with clingfilm in the frig and put the mayo and salad cream in when we want to eat it. I like to add cheese or nuts to it sometimes as well.0

Hiya,
We have an older thread on Coleslaw and so I've merged your query into it. Posts are listed in date order so you'll need to read from the beginning to catch up with the various recipes on offer.

Okay, I've been reading round about the coleslaw thing, and decided to go for a 'pink' coleslaw. I'm going to make it with red cabbage, carrot, red onion and a little beetroot. I have some organic mayonnaise to add to it. I'll let you know if it goes down well with the in laws.:eek:May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Hi - I use a ratio of about 2 parts mayo to one part salad cream. I also add a good pinch of sugar which really seems to lift it.0
