PennysIntoPounds said:I have been sore today so not nearly as much done as I wanted, but I am washed, the flat is acceptable, I didn't let my friends down by not meeting up, and I have transfered todays tasks to the next couple of days so I don't feel a day behind myself in the morning. Sometimes you have to count your wins where you can!
Do people want a June thread or a break from OATing for summer?
Yes please to a thread in June (if you don’t mind?). I’m getting a roll on some stuff that has been looking at me for months and would be sorry to lose it now.KKAs at 15.07.25:

Yes please to a June thread as this is helping me get things done!
Three bits of hand washing done. Only one left! Two jumpers were filthy...
Parsley, chervil, and basil sown. Various other herbs ordered as for some reason I had empty packets in my seed box.3 -
If you're up for it @PennysIntoPounds I would appreciate a June thread and if someone could give me a kick up the backside to get back to tackling OATs that would be good.
Now the immediate panic of MIL being rushed to hospital I have begun over the last couple of days with some small OATs:
1) unpacked our clothes bag as we will not need to stay at the in laws without notice - this was more an OAT prevention.
2) resumed working on my digital photos project
3) couple of loads of laundry - this was being neglected due to the very hands on support we were needing to give the in laws
4) did the homework for my evening class
5) kept my seedlings alive
6) a few blocks of time working on reclaiming the kitchen
7) made a meal plan, possibly the first of the year 😱
8) stuck to the meal plan
9) 8 bags of clothes and shoes donated to the charity shops
10) refilled containers - including oats 😄

Half term this week so I've finally got some stuff done - listed loads on fbook mktplace and sold all bar 1 item, so that's off to the charity shop, cash and some cheques that have been hanging around paid into the bank when I was in town getting my hair cut, deep cleaned our bathroom, deep cleaned our bedroom and dressing area, got everything out of my wardrobe and threw some clothes in the bin, some to charity shop and 3 items are ready to list on v1nted. Washed a pressed some curtains ready to donate to cs, sorted through jewellery box - some costume jewellery to CS pile, some costume earrings to bin and a small pile of gold and silver jewellery set aside for selling (I know there is a small bag of silver and 1 odd gold earring somewhere downstairs to add to it......🤦🏻♀️ß🤔🙄) Cleaned all the velux windows in the loft. Did some filing/ removed some filing and shredded/ recycled. Waxed some heat damaged wood on 2 chests of drawers - look lovely now. Sorted out some bits and dropped them into work whilst no-one was in 😁, used up some very old (pre covid 😱) boozy mixed dried fruit in a tea loaf, tidied some shelves in the garage and realised I have over 80 spare bottles of various cleaning products.....! (Whoops!) Ooh - and did DH's tax return (still need to submit it, but need to triple check 1 thing on there) - and I think we're due a refund of 4.5k 🥳 Filled in the required info online for DS2's student finance application. Got all the ironing up straight amd did various bits of mending of clothes. Updated financial spreadsheets.
Still need to- deep clean kitchen floor, check energy suppliers - we've just moved off fix onto standard rate, so need to see what I can get.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207 -

Thanks @KajiKita for thinking of us. After a few days when the immediate crisis subsided and another family member was able to be onsite. Both me and OH focused on catching up on sleep, hydration and eating healthy as well as the everyday basics.
Things have calmed down for my in laws but they are needing a much higher level of in person support for a minimum of 6 weeks, at least that is planned so we can adapt our daily lives.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

@Baileys_Babe - sorry to hear you've had a crisis to deal with, but good to hear there's a plan.
@KajiKita - the biggest issue is cleaning up the utility room to make space for it - there is theoretically room BUT I use that sink/surfaces for pet feeding/washing up pet bowls and refilling all the cleaning stuff. Also the 'draining board' doesn't drain (well it does, but mostly onto the floor). I'm trying to work out how I can rejig the utility room (which is MASSIVE - bigger than my old kitchen - but badly configured) so I can keep animals and laundry separate!
I haven't yet done the last of the hand washing (maybe I should do that while the animals are queuing for lunch, which isn't due for another 40 minutes), but I have put some filthy socks in to soak (I use my old running socks for dog walking and gardening and wandering round the house in and they are disgusting) and got on with stuff in the garden.- Cages for blackcurrant and gooseberry have been brought out of the workshop and into the veg plot - not sure I'll be able to get them set up now as the borage and alpine strawberries have got going! Also I only have 2 (they're individual dome cages with netting), and now have three of each kind of berry - I'll have to pick which ones to pamper!
- 8ft bamboos brought onto patio and first batch of sweetpeas planted with their teepees. I have lots more sweetpeas in urgent need of freeing from the 9cm pots.
- Rest of patio pots filled with compost ready to plant
- Cercis dropped off by a neighbour repotted (was pot bound) and tied to a bamboo to encourage upward growth
- Sorbus cashmeriana trunk tied to an 8ft bamboo for support so that it grows up, not at 90 degrees
- Vast amount of tech junk sorted through, and stuff identified for sale. I'll deal with it this evening - pack it up, arrange collection, print label, shove on doorstep and forget about it!

This is not really on subject although I am puzzling whether my must do is ringing the police, cos I am worried.Firstly I had a call to my landline number saying they were the ambulance service & did I need an ambulance & was my name Sue - I definitely is not & is nothing like that.Secondly I had a call on my mobile which really really sounded like the same man asking the same question, also saying from North West Ambulance servce. I gave neither call any info & treated them like a scam call. Then I googled the number & yes it was the NWAS. So how did they get both my numbers & worrying should I call the police.THEN I get another call on my mobile, a woman this time. Then she asked me if my name was Sue (my surname) & gave me an address, not mine. She said they had been called by her son Matthew (not DSs name). In case anyone thinks it may be him he was in the shower at the time of the call, not that it would be him. They told me that they had been told that Sue was 80, a year older than me.I am hoping everyone thinks I am worrying unnecessarily.2

That is unsettling @badmemory but I presume it's a chain of events that would make sense once you knew what was going on in the background, such as if the ambulance service is able to access landline and surname information linked to a mobile number if they have cause to believe there's an emergency?
Probably Sue's son mistakenly gave a digit wrong and that coincidentally made it your mobile number.
As the woman gave a different address and you've told them the incident isn't linked to your surname or either number, hopefully the ambulance service have just gone to that address!
For your own peace of mind, jot down the times of the calls and the numbers involved, and what was said in the conversations while it's fresh in your memory, just in case you ever need to refer back to it, but it sounds like innocent albeit very confusing human error.
Hope Sue's okay!
