Since it's missing from your UC statement I would chase UC. It's their job to make sure everything is correct with your payment.

They do talk but communication is slow (ESA has an archaic IT system), the increase in migration letters has put more pressure on that system.
I've been advising quite a few people elsewhere who are in exactly the same boat.

Phone ESA and send a UC journal message to payments stating the time you have been anxiously waiting for a reply about LCWRA being added.

Maybe I'm just impatient but I would have complained by now. https://makeacomplaint.dwp.gov.uk/

Soon you will see everything  in one location.

Some people have everything in a council building nowadays to save money and build on existing locations. A similar thing is happening to libraries moving banking hubs inside them.
  • Ok thanks for the replies @KxMx. I'll have to contact them again.

@TimeLord1 thanks for your replies also, and I will have to contact them again and see what they say.

@HillStreetBlues thanks for your reply, I don't know if I want to go that road but indeed it hasn't been very smooth.

I'm not sure at what point it constitutes mithering them about it but I don't or didn't know how normal this is/ was tbh. It hasn't been as simple as they made it sound anyway.

I rang ESA which took almost 2 hours to get through. Hard to understand but think they said it was ok their end and they said UC did something / updated 2 weeks ago and know I am in the support group and that was the last time I called. They thought it may have been done alter in the day but not updated or something. I think anyway as can't remember exactly did to confusion, anxiety and stress but I took it to mean they know I should get LCWRA but not applied it/ updated it by telling me in the journal.

I then got patched through to UC and I got hung up on/ or the call cut off the first time I was patched through and I think they said wait a couple of days and if there was nothing to call them. I'm not sure what good that would have done when I've already waited weeks so thought I best double check and ring back. I'm not the best at retaining information anyway and was tired, anxious and stressed even before ringing, and especially after having been on the phone to ESA for over two hours already.

When I rang back they said someone would be in touch today (yesterday) or tomorrow (today) by 6. Didn't see a note left in journal though and nobody has updated it either and it's past 5 now so they haven't got long to notify me if it even got noted down anyway as last time it said in the journal agent notified someone but this time hasn't.
Not sure if I should ring them again or not now or if that's mithering but it's going to be Thursday by then and then if they haven't noted it or whatever then they don't have long to reply before I'm left hanging over another weekend, even if I've other stuff to deal with that this is piling on top of.

Yes, it's probably best to just check the journal and Home links for any changes in requirements, but it sounds like it will be done by your next payment.

@TimeLord1 Thanks for the reply. I don't even know if that's right because it was ESA that said it but in a convoluted way. They also said something about I shouldn't have got X amount but I think it must have included the approx £320 (per fortnight) for 5 days (because 9 days after applying was my last payday from IRESA). So I assume I got 5 days at the £320 per fortnight and 9 days of the new amount of £281.10 for the rest  or something. The amount paid was about £293 that I got during the transition so I assume that's what it was but not 100% sure. Then the next was £281.10 as @KxMx worked out for me.

UC said they'd be in touch by today though and haven't been so I just don't know. Last time there was a note left straight away that an agent would contact a case manager. This time there was just a verbal note over the phone and nothing in the journal so I don't know if that information got relayed to who needed it or not. Last time as well they were in touch the next day first thing in the morning so I don't know where I stand with UC. Just that they'd be in touch today by 6 at the latest but I'm not even sure they contacted whoever (case manager?) as it doesn't have a note in the journal.

I thought if they underpaid they were going to sort that within a few days or thought I read that they would earlier in the thread. I have no confidence that last month's and this month's will be paid still. Sorry my head is mashed and haven't slept for months and it's getting to me.

Edit :- I also left a message in the journal as well before I called a d they didn't reply to that either yet.

You will only see agents and Jobcenters I don't think any journal contact is done by the case manager.  I understand it's a frustrating process and people make promises that aren't kept. But I think you've done all you can for now. Just stick a message in the Journal stating you was promised a decision on your question today and still had no reply.
  • @TimeLord1. I have already left a message stating that 2 days ago with no reply as yet. The case manager was actually informed last time and did reply to me in the journal early the next day. The person I phoned a few weeks ago told me the case managers name on the phone and that they'd leave a message.

Both the agent I spoke to showed up in the journal and the next day the case manager messaged me in the journal with the name I was told on the phone so it was them.

I got told last time that if you messaged them again in the journal before they replied then I'd go to the back of the queue so I may have to wait and leave the message I left with them. I'm just unsure if because I spoke on the phone to them after that message was left if it would override the message or not. Think it did last time because "agent" and case manager didn't warrant another response. Unsure if this message does or not now but the timeline they said (by 6 today) obviously didn't show up. So guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer. Thanks btw.
