Morning just checking in that I am grateful for a dance class I have done twice now. I am the one i the back moving in the wrong direction and who haven't moved to music for decades. But I can feel it coming through, the teacher is very encouraging, and it is a lot of fun. The music is mostly latin and afro beat type of rhythms. It is a lot of fun and I keep meaning to find a video to practice some of it at home!

Shopping again today - doesn't it come round quickly? I generally only go once a week. DD2 was here as her car was in the garage down the road, so she came with us together with her list and shopping bags.We have been going through my large collection of recipe books to find some different things to cook and eat, that also use up some freezer items. So far a couple of J. Oliver recipes, both delicious but what a faff! The latest one has done two days and was admittedly very economical. Might try another chef next! In the meantime I have found a couple of recipes online to use up other bits - a surfeit of pesto in the freezer (ideas welcome) and one of cavalo nero kale in the garden. Nice problems to have, I know.I have a load of washing out on the line. Also hoovered and dusted our bedroom.Visited a friend this afternoon, took her some marigold plants and some of the kale.Watering to do this evening, though we are apparently likely to get some rain tomorrow, so I will only do the things that are very dry.Grateful for seeing my friend and using up some food items (and using the cookery books instead of cooking the same old things!4

Did a different exercise routine today, made a nice change. Quite a stressful day at work, my patience this morning was teetering on the edge! Got home to discover traffic lights at the top of our drive. Usually drive past the driveway, turn round at the junction at the side of our neighbour's garden, then reverse onto our driveway, but wasn't going to go through 3 traffic lights to do it! Walked to the village & back to drop a sold item off. Sewed after tea.
Grateful for different exercises, a relaxing breaktime, more things soldUse it up, wear it out

A rough couple of days. On Monday I was absolutely wiped out and didn't know what was wrong. Flu type inability to move combined with every part of me hurting. Hadn't slept well, couldn't get comfortable or free from pain. Had a slow day, found a comfortable position for my cushions (looked lumpy but it worked) and took painkillers to relax my muscles and again before bed to make sleep possible. I have been doing small foot and ankle exercises. They were slightly painful but helpful. Yesterday I pushed the ball of one foot into the instep of the other which was shockingly painful for a few seconds but then realigned my foot.
Anyway all that set me back once again and I'm a bit wobbly on being positive. Moving the couch exposed yet more 'floor mess' and the side of the chinchilla cage that has been inaccessible for months. Decided not to cry or feel sorry for myself and will do what I can. I am making progress but it's at the 'looking worse before it gets better' stage.
More rubbish and recycling was collected and went to the outside bins (still more to do, it's a slow process because it's all little bits), washing went out on the line (2 items at a time with big rest periods in between), 2nd book of a trilogy finished and 3rd started, DS3 took the bin out for collection and brought an extra bag down from upstairs.
Grateful for things happening, pain under control, books and sleep7 -
Hope you feel better soon @grandmanerd4

@grandmanerd: Would it help to run your foot backwards and forwards over a hard ball (tennis ball size), instead of trying to manipulate your other foot to ease the pain.6
-
@grandmanerd - Really hard to keep working when you are in a lot of pain. Right now I have to sit done after 2 minutes up and stay down at least 2 minutes or more, so everything is very slow. My house is in the "everything looks worse before it gets better stage" but is has been for at least 11 years. Beginning to lose hope.6

Today recycling was taken to the tip, and plants were watered. Food was shopped or 'acquired' for free.I have stuck religiously to the diet, it takes up so much time thinking about not eating. The 'monkey brain' is alive and well and telling me to eat everything to ensure the survival of the species, the 'rational brain' is in control and is just patiently repeating 'no, live off your hump, it is what you stored it for '. In solidarity, DH just helpfully ate an apple turnover at me. I honestly despair of the man!Wonder how @Toni'sfriend is doing. I do worry when turtle's go quiet.... probably a hang-over from lovely Purps.Anyway, more things left the house today, and I have a pile for the charity shop to go tomorrow.I shall count it as a win.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I've added more cushions to the chaise lounges, so @grandmanerd & @weenancyinAmerica can rest comfortably.

A couple of stressful work days, but thankfully today has been better! Walked round the block before tea, then watched TV with DS1 after. He's only been away 2 nights, but good to have him home again! He's decided to visit the granite city next week. DS3's guest only stayed one night after all, so won't be worried about exercising in my nightie tomorrow morning! 🤣
Grateful for the chance to walk around the school at breaktime, instead of playing football, a walk after work, time with my boys & hearing them laugh together, a surprise message from my auntie-in-lawUse it up, wear it out
