I washed my hair (smiling emoji, happy dance, more dancing). I am getting somewhere (hopefully the place I want to be). Domestic paperwork corralled (stuff that's mainly not needed but has to be kept). I did this a week or two ago but the biggest subset (more than half the total amount) was put in a cardboard file which subsequently got wet. Hurriedly removed it and then it spilled on the floor and half went under the coffee table which was blocked off by the couch.
Rubbish collection has slowed because I'm using 2 x 1.5 kg chinchilla pellet bags (I'm sure there are more ripped takeaway/ food delivery bags somewhere and these are handy for placing next to where I'm working and picking up bits as I go along. Have brought a small cardboard box back with me and half filled it with medicinal/ self-care items. Have the emptied can/ bottle sack to refill and 2 cardboard/ paper bags (one part full, one underneath the couch cushions (later)
Grateful for good books, bird's singing, clean (albeit very messy) hair7 -
Well done on that hair wash, grandmanerd. When you have very few spoons to start with, the idea of a hairwash can take up more than you want to use on it.Today I am grateful for my dentist sticking my temporary crown back on - it felt like I was 8 and had a wobbly tooth!!!, for the big umbrella so I didn't need to wear a coat to walk to the dentist, for having an NHS dentist, for getting plenty of work done ( to take the pressure off tomorrow when I'll be out and about more), for adding orange zest + the juice of 1/2 an orange to my 3-ingredient brownies and making ones that taste like chocolate oranges

Your brownies sound delicious, @apple_muncher. Well done on your progress today, @grandmanerd.

Felt better today thankfully. Did a new abs exercise routine, will see how that goes! Still stressed at work. Should be a big easier next few weeks though.
Listed a couple of things on eboy. Went to pin a lady into a bee suit after tea. I thought it was going to be a costume for a play or something, but it was an actual bee keeper's suit! 🤣 Shortened 2 pairs of trousers when I got home
Grateful for a dry day, hearing from DS1 on his holibobs, the support of some colleagues - I made sure to thank them todayUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Oh my, now I want some orange brownies.
Was able to help someone at the FamilySearch Center find her ancestors in El Salvador - a first for me. I read family history records in Spanish - can't pronounce any of it correctly though. We found several generations already.
Fell earlier. Landed on my right hip. I am really going to feel it tomorrow. I was outside on the porch and pulled myself back into the house sliding like a snake to use the large cat carrier to pull myself up. Knew there was some reason for it to be still in the way. Couldn't get up onto my knees because I have two knee replacements and it really hurts to get on your knees. I don't do kneeling any more.6 -
Hugs weenancy, very gentle hugs.6

On Tuesday evening I finished clearing the floor in front of the couch (there's still a small amount between the 3 couches). As a consequence when I woke in the middle of the night one couch cushion and 2 pillows were on the floor. Rather than reassembling my 'bed', I decided to work through the stuff on the couch and between the couch cushions. I filled the floor again with bags of cans, empty bottles for refilling, paper and card. I did find 2 more small bags for rubbish, filled one and have kept one for later. I had used a large sack for the previous paper load. I tied a knot in the bottom to block a hole and have half filled it with all the debris. Found another pile of cutlery, pens and some coins (just over £5 worth), a few snack items, more paperwork and lots of junk. It was at least 2 sofa cushions deep, space all round the edges and in places it then goes further down. I did not however find my phone (missing for several days but I had presumed it was hidden in the depths of the couch). I still need to do the space I'm on but don't expect there to be much there.
When I finished clearing I thought that if I didn't do any more that day, it would be enough (although I wanted to do more). I took my pills (roughly 5.30 am) and then slept for another 3 hours. Yesterday was mainly reading, resting and basic hygiene plus smothered myself in moisturiser (did my hands and up to my elbows straight away) with a few naps.
I've just started a list of (some) things to do. I'm concentrating on cleaning (working on improving, taking short cuts, doing what I can) and doing things to improve my symptoms - cough/ sore throat (really bad - my lymph glands have been swollen twice this week). I've recognised that some of the cleaning tasks are too much for me to do 'properly'.
So far I've brushed my teeth, washed myself using a cloth and sink full of water (I brought the wet cloth back to the couch to clean my feet). I've made a start on the the shower base by moving antiseptic wipes around with my feet whilst sitting on the shower chair, I used some dried out wipes to deal with some floor spills. I bought some new bottles of water yesterday and I've put all the existing green bottles for recycling as they have been used multiple times and I'm probably re-infecting myself.
I've jotted down 18 tasks without even thinking about it (just looking around and taking notice of the obvious things) and I'll tackle them as and when I have a burst of energy (ankle is hurting and I'm wobbly and can't stand for long). When I'm on the couch I'll try to start more organised lists (planning/strategy).
Grateful for getting things done, birdsong and time to rest (I've also read some articles on spoon theory and pacing - some really helpful)8 -
Today I am grateful for being able to work at home, for Pip wanting to go out, for getting umpteen loads of laundry done, for dh going to collect Pip, for frozen fruit.Anyone chomping at the bit to set up June?
