Monument ISA transfer in.

    day 16, again been on chat with monument and again they are saying they are waiting for virgin to send funds i told them i'm going around in circles and they said they will email virgin
    i have now email monument saying i am now starting an offical complaint and if this is not resolved i will be going to the finacial ombudsman
    this is now becoming a joke, why is this happening what is the hold up, both parties are blaming eachother ???

    and again the phone  to virgin the are saying they are waiting for monument to collect the funds

    Another satisfied Monument customer here (so far). I opened their Easy Access Cash ISA on Sunday and my VM ISA was transferred into my account this morning, so quite impressive considering that included the bank holiday.

    update, ive been on the phone to monument and it looks like there taking notice now only because the 30 days is soon approaching where funds have to be added and its more looking like its there holdup for some reason

    You need to give the provider 8 weeks to process your complaint before you can go to the FOS

    You need to give the provider 8 weeks to process your complaint before you can go to the FOS
    email from monument they have acknowledged the complaint and ref number given 
    also saying they have email virgin with the unique reference number to locate the application
    someone has screwed up here and nobody is taking the blame, whats going to happen if this goes past the 19 may and the virgin rate drops
    i wont be calling either parties again and now see where this goes

    Just be aware that their system automatically closes any isa account opened and not funded inside 30 days. They’ve closed mine this morning even though it’s not funded because of them! 

    I spoke to them earlier and they’ve escalated this because although their email communication says I can open a new account they’ve pulled the ISA account so I can’t. They also haven’t confirmed what’s happened with the Zopa transfer in which was meant to be completed tomorrow 🤦‍♀️, which is now sat earning 4%. 

    What’s worse is that I want to access some of those funds, but I can’t take the money out from Zopa otherwise I loose the flexible allowance as Monument is a full transfer. They’ve assured me however that they’ll have a managers decision on whether they’ll allow my isa to be reopened so I should know what’s going on. 

    They’ve also raised a complaint, but honestly I’d don’t really care about that, I just would like them to complete the transfer in!

    so we are in the same boat, lucky enough i dont need access to the funds as long as they can reopen the isa if it goes over the 30 days which will be on friday

    Yes sounds like it. What’s perhaps encouraging is they appear to be able to make exceptions - fingers crossed I get a positive call tomorrow!

    I requested transfer from VM on 11th April.  Called Monument today, they gave me a long reference number and suggested to call VM.  I called VM, they said they have accepted transfer on 11th April and waiting for Monument to reply with "ready for transfer" message.  Called Monument again and was told "we are processing it, you just have to wait and we will inform you when transfer is completed". No timeline was given.

    same date as my transfer request, your 15 days has now past and with bank holidays fri will be your cut off date for the 30 days to put funds in your isa, also from virgin money
    youve been getting the same message i got from monument it seems like there now reading off a script
