You would have some idea of the extra value as you say you have a ticket for another event without the VIP element
That's just it though, unless I haven't read it properly the substantive part of the VIP ticket (or one could even say the 'headline' part of the VIP in ticketmaster parlance) - the meet and greet is still there
All the following extras are still there:

⁃ Individual Photo Opportunity and Meet & Greet
    ⁃ Exclusive Guided Stage Tour
    ⁃ Access to Preshow Soundcheck
    - Signed and Framed Vintage Style Poster
    ⁃ Curated Merchandise Pack
⁃ One Commemorative VIP Laminate, Signed
⁃ Venue First Entry (where available)
    ⁃ On Site VIP Host

What it appears that has been removed is:
⁃ Preshow Champagne Toast with the act
    - Access to Q&A

So if I've understood it correctly effectively what is missing is the price of a glass of champagne and an unspecified duration and even who with Q&A - it could just be one q&a with the preshow soundcheck people to satisfy the description

How are you going to calculate any partial refund?
Given the price you paid for the ticket, does the give a breakdown of costs?
I've been pondering this as no breakdown of cost is given. I'm doubtful that tm would have that information even if I were to ask.

    Whatever happens I'll lose out

I have 2 vip tickets priced the same. The reason I bought another ticket was due to the 2 extras. I really don't know how to price up a partial refund due to that

Well if there is no difference in the price of the tickets then either the cancelled extras are worth nothing or the ticket price has been surreptitiously increased by dropping the extras
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Were all tickets you bought the same price? If they were , then the promotors didn’t put any extra value on the extras, in which case I think you are going to struggle to get anything back

OP it is the job of ticketmaster to state as many things as possible aren’t a material change, on the other hand you’d want as few as possible and if two sides can’t agree, sadly, you look to small claims and a court to decide ultimately what is what.
I was thinking if i have no joy with ticket master then as it was bought on credit card to claim using section 75
Ticketmaster only sell the tickets. They are not the promotor or supply of the concert.
    No debtor-Creditor link here.

Think of it like buying a holiday via booking.com.👍
Sorry OP didn't think of this so without S75 you are looking at arguing with Ticketmaster. The CMA guidance is basically your position.

The value of the removed aspects is irrevelavent if you want to give up the ticket and be refunded in full. If you still wanted to go it's possible loss of enjoyment applies.

Ultimately it's a case of argue with TM, if they aren't agreeable you have to decide whether to go to small claims or go to the concert :)

... I bought the ticket for the elements that have been removed as I already have another ticket for a different date that is now the same offering. I'd never have bought the ticket being discussed if those 2 elements where not advertised...
Are you saying that the only differences between the two tickets were the champagne toast and the Q&A session, and that now these two "VIP" elements have been dropped, your two tickets are now identical?

If that is the case, then unless you were charged the same price for both tickets, the nominal face value of the champagne and Q&A is simply the difference in ticket price - and that, at least nominally, is what your refund should be.

(What I'm confused about is the remaining extras of the VIP ticket.  Are you saying they are attached to both of your tickets?)

From memory i think it was the same for both tickets. Failing s75 and chargeback. If tm decline a refund I'll take it to star
