Thanks. I now have 2 items waiting to be collected. It's very disappointing but I'm still very new to Vinted so I will persevere.  If nothing else I have discovered a good place to buy 'new with tags' items at a good price.
My heart sinks when I see a seller is using Evri. The local Evri pick up point for me is the village post office and they’re closed from 17:30 on weekdays and 12:30 on Saturdays. So at Easter, one seller had to wait to the following Tuesday to get paid. It must be worse for working age people. I can reset the pick up point, but then I have to drive to it. Plus Evri transit is so slow, I’ve seen parcels sit for 48 hours at the sender’s local Evri sorting office.
On Vinted the buyer always chooses the courier from those offered by the seller, so the advantage of using Vinted would be no more sellers accidentally sending via Evri when you didn’t expect them to.

However on Vinted not collecting can be an issue, some buyers just seem to do it deliberately as they lose nothing at all, and I’ve had non collections from all the couriers used, Inpost lockers are the most common as the collection window is a fraction of the time allowed by other couriers.

My Evri collection point is also my local Post Office but as it is also a Morrisons Daily it is open 7 days a week early to late.

Evri has been the only courier offered for the last few transactions, so my only choice is pick up point. I would prefer InPost lockers as they’re often next day, and I’m not limited to opening times.

Similarly our PO is a village shop, but as the sub postmaster is the only person with keys to the PO counter, access to our deliveries relies on him being in the shop, and he’s only in the shop when he’s got nobody to mind it and can’t go to PO counter.

I read the article giving tips on how to be successful selling clothing on Vinted, so I set up an account and placed two items, an Armani jacket and a leather biker jacket, including pictures of the items and labels. One sold within minutes; they sent me all the shipping info....then PERMANENTLY blocked my account for fraud. I appealed, and they msg me to say it could take 120 hours to reply (!) and when they did, they started to ask for more pictures of the same times. These are scammers; don't waste your time. Terrible reviews on TrustPilot, so it's surprising MoneySavingExpert hasn't picked up on this, too.
Personally, I sold hundreds of items on Vinted, including designer high end expensive items, but certainly not before I'd establishing a good seller trusted reputation, which is just common sense, really ;)

They do hide the other options away, but if you are a regular user then you’ll know how to show the full, list, so it might be the sellers do incidentally only offer Evri.

I have found intermittently that Vinted seem to favour a courier, some days I’ll get all Yodel, the next all Inpost, so can only assume they do show different couriers as the initial option randomly before allowing the buyer to open the full, list and choose. The only option I don’t offer is RM.

I have sold hundreds and hundreds of items on Vinted but would never even consider selling high end on there, and certainly not as a newbie.

I'm doing some Vinted listing today and apparently I've sold items worth £1050 in total.
My top tip is list small numbers of items regularly, because of things in searches showing up by date listed.
  • Update on my parcels. They have been collected now and the money is showing in the account. I am very confused (as a Vinted newbie) about the postal options. I don't think there was another option to send apart from Evri. I do live in a small town so maybe that is why that was the only choice.

In your postage options under your profile you can turn off any postal options you can’t use. I don’t like RM on Vinted as I experienced very long delays in parcels updating as sent, up to 3 days, and that just stressed me. I also turned off a service called Relay which I have no knowledge of.

The various options also show whether there is a QR option or whether seller must send with a pre printed label.
