Hi All,
Need some old school was of getting rid of mould round the bath and also on the plastic rim of the inside of the washing machine.

Mouldy bathroom fixtures can be cleaned effectively with bleach (use it neat then rinse away), but I do find the specialist products quicker and for serious mould stains more effective too. The dettol spray in a green bottle is the strongest I've found, a little of this goes a long way so a bottle tends to last me more than a year.0

DH used to be a domestic appliance engineer. He says w machine mould is caused by using inferior powder, and/or not enough of it.
Use dilute bleach to get rid of the mould.
Leave the door slightly open when not in use.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

mould in the washing machine is caused by continually using low temp washes. water isnt hot enough to kill of the bacteria.0

Using vinegar instead of fabric conditioner deals with that. Honest
Other causes are closing the door fully after use. It should be left slightly ajar to allow the air to circulate.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Hello,
Can any of you lovely people help?
I have black marks on my bath sealant and I can't get it off no matter what I try! It's not the hard grout sort, but a rubbery sealant so I'm reluctant to scrub it too hard because I keep getting little flecks come off and I don't want to pull the whole thing off!
I've tried bleach and that hasn't helped.
Is there anything I can try?0 -
I'm having exactly the same problem
I have packed the marks with cotton wool dipped in vinegar which has worked in the past (unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working for me this time).0
