I have to clean the bathroom and use the mould spray, buy citric acid and clean the drains and vacuum my wardrobe floors for dust and wipe the shelves down. So boring! I'm going to have to take all of my shoes and boots out of the wardrobe as I have open shelving.3

Just think how nice it will be when it's done!
I've done a long Pilates session - very much needed as I skipped my daily sessions last weekend, did two half-hearted ones Mon & Tues, and didn't do them Wed/Thurs due to builders being here.
Cat bedding and one dog blanket are in the WM, then I need to wash the dog bed, then clean out the filter and do a drum clean cycle before using it for people-laundry.
Otherwise housework today will be opening windows, maybe putting stuff back in the office when I pass and it annoys me enough, and that's it. I want to be out in the garden while it's nice, even if it is chilly!5 -
Not technically an OAT but did a submission to YouSpotProperty, this is one of those daft tasks that take seconds to do but somehow in my mind seem like a much bigger To Do, so I'm glad it was only loitering on the list for a couple of days2

Felt a bit more human today. Put a hot wash on to deal with the snotty hankies, dried them and ironed them all. Since DH introduced me to linen hankies I rarely use tissues now. Job done and yes ironing them is ridiculous I know but I find a freshly laundered ironed white handkerchief a luxury when I’ve got a rotten cold!
A couple of serious OATs ticked off. Mended a slight tear on one of my favourite dresses which took all of 5 minutes. I am not a sewer despite being forced to do needlework at school. I can wield a needle and thread provided it’s black or white and that’s as far as I’m prepared to go. I’m terrified of sewing machines and we won’t mention the kapok filled hippo or pinafore dress c. 1975.
Second OAT was handwashing my only beloved piece of cashmere - a black cardigan which is most definitely not “best” but feels lovely despite the cat pulls and bobbles. I can’t remember the last time it got washed and being black … (any tips for removing bobbles?).
Made carrot and coriander soup using 8p supermarket offer and a pot of fresh coriander costing 20 times more. This was sort of an OAT because I dared to use my “new” hand blender which has been lurking unopened for months. I’ve always used a normal blender so the thought of this beast terrified me (see above re sewing machines and you’ll see a pattern emerging!) but it was brilliant and the soup was delicious too.
Finally watched my Morning Glory seeds turn into plants. They too are frighteningly healthy but now I’m not sure what to do so any advice welcome. They’re on a windowsill inside and I keep turning them around because they lean to the light.
Looking forward to hearing about everyone else’s OATs and tasks accomplished.Tilly Tidying andPADing in 2024 £250.62

One raised bed built (but not installed - I've removed the sides from the bed I want to put it round, but need to get a spade out to resize it slightly and then shove the frame over). Sides of old bed in the bin, bits of rock on the rock pile.
Largest bit of patio pressure-washed. Not properly clean, but clean enough to start working out where I want paving removed. I need to wash the rest as I want to get my planters filled and start growing salad and carrots, and might as well get on with it while I have the stuff out. Once the garden furniture is out I can start marking up the changes with chalk - I'm hoping the neighbour who will be removing the paving will also dig beds for me round the edge of it. But I want to work out as much as possible of what needs doing to get it done in one go, as it'll mean several days of not being able to use the garden while the work is being done.2 -
One small OAT tackled today: took the tray of shallots and garlic from last season that was lurking in the conservatory and cleaned them up so see what was still edible. (Two of the weeny shallots I recovered got used in tonight’s curry salad 😊❤️).
Anticipated an OAT: Sent an email in to the vet to be sent by return, a link to pay them the admin fee for compl the form for submission to P3tPlan’s from Chloe’s operation fee insurance claim. 👏

I have stripped my bed and washed the topper, mattress protector and pillow protectors (the start of a weekend of spring cleaning). I have also tried on summer clothes from a bag from the attic, and put the things that fit in the wash for a refresh.

Patio is done. Well, as done as it's going to get for now.
Veg plot fencing has commenced (which also means the pile of packages is disappearing off the porch as there were three garden arches on there, one of which is now installed and the second of which is on it's way to the veg plot).3 -
Finally recycled 4 bags of coffee pods at Asd@. Used to be able to take them to a local shop via Yodel but sadly no longer. The nearest Asd@ is 3 plus miles away and we don’t have a car 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
