NST April 2025 A Pirate Life For Me

We finally made it to mortgage FREEEDOM! Hurr-Arghh, me harties! 

Not a single NSD in sight yet… April’s always a choppy month for us with OH and DS’s birthdays, the Easter hols to get through, and this year the final big splash on the last mortgage payment! OH and I also dropped anchor for a 2-night getaway which ended up drifting £40 over budget.

New budgets are now charted as we set sail on this next chapter. Once April’s stormy waters pass, the spending should (hopefully) settle! Yo ho! 

I feel I want to name our ship before we set sail… any ideas, turtles?

Congratulations on your MFreedom @ldee2111. 
It takes a couple of paycheques without a mortgage going out for it to feel real, and before you can get a handle on your budget. Enjoy it!!!!
Today was a sub £7 spend day.  I needed a  few bits to see me through til Friday,  and we are running down the fridge as we will all be away at the weekend.  Quite happy with a sub £10 spend really.
Boat names...ummm....... The Frisky Puffin?

Today I am grateful for dh and I going up a mountain trail, but getting the gondola back down, for more snow falling, for time mooching around the shops with Pip, for having fitted so much in to our few days in Banff, for big comfy beds.

Inside my head.
But it might be more of a 'tavern' 🍺 🍺  name?  The Squiffy Puffin? The puffins are starting to come back and they are in my head at the minute. 
£50 'thank you' arrived from the Nation wider bank. Hooray for free money! 💰 
£100 refund for undelivered/cancelled items charged back to credit card 💳 .
Today will be filled with volunteering and picnic snacks buying.  I must not buy food! Dyed my legs slightly  🍊 last night🦵  🤪  Frocks on !
DH is already grumpy at the thought of going see his parents. I might pick up a sack with my  non shopping. 💰 Nobody is forcing him to come.
Today is the first day in weeks that it has been grey in the morning. Clouds will clear  and temperatures of 17 later with a slight breeze and calm seas 🌊  <bing bong>
