Woke up to see that DS2 had left me a note, asking for an emergency dental appointment. Thankfully managed to get one at 9am, so a rushed breakfast & lunch made, ready to take him. Drive him home afterwards (no buses from there to here), & I was back at work by 9.55!
Think there was something in the water at work, the kids were very excitable &/or silly! Was glad when the bell rang at 3.30.
Sorted out the dried washing, then unpicked a zip. Pinned a customer into a dress after tea, then sewed the coat zip, unpicked & sewed another one too. Feel like I'm making headway with the sewing mountain!
Grateful for my work bestie getting me 2 pairs of reading glasses from L1dl yesterday, ready for when I have my op, fun outside with a small group of children, the zip I was waiting on finally arrivingUse it up, wear it out

Food shopping this morning, done for another week thank goodness. The fridge was pretty bare.Dentist and hygienist this afternoon so definitely not a NSD! No NHS provision available round here unfortunately. Also bought a fab dress from my favourite brand (they always fit) from a CS near the dentist's. It wasn't cheap as such, but is brand new with tags and cost less than half of the normal retail price. So now I need a few NSDs for sure!I am shattered as I didn't sleep after 3am this morning for some reason. I still need to wash up and do the watering. Also post a birthday card so that it goes in the early morning collection.Better get on!5

Another NSD
Norwegian, exercises & lunches cooked for today & tomorrow. A good day at work, received feedback from another member of staff that I am doing good work with one of my pupils.
A sewing machine repair/service man is down from Shetland, so gave my machine the once over. He did find a slight problem, & tweaked it, plus gave me some helpful pointers. Paid for for from my business account, so not counting as a spend. Got 2 hand sewing jobs done.
Grateful for my machine working better, a 5/6 year old giving me some handmade paper 'sushi' to eat when I got home, it being quite warm & sunny when I finished workUse it up, wear it out

Blessed Payday in the F0xh0les Villa!
Wall to wall sunshine on the shipping forecast.
Coffers full til the bills go out tomorrow.
2 more jobs in the diary for September.
My plans are to laze on a paradise island beach today, making plans and plotting .
Thank you for the journey Captain @grandmanerd .
I ran out of money 💰 due to work expenses, so didn't really run out, I will get the money back, I was just 'financially embarrassed' for 2 days and had to borrow what turned out to be only £20 from savings.
But - work is in the diary, money will be coming in next month, I have a plan.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Mr and Mrs Builder were here on Monday and Tuesday (he's not really better but was driving Mrs Builder up the wall, being at home). Things got done, I have one large ceiling light and the bathroom light has a cover switch now. I have plinths (only noticed this morning). So they were winding up for the day on Tuesday (coming back Saturday) and Mr Builder said "It'll be done by weekend". Mrs Builder and I looked at one another and I said 'How could you say that" (it's doomed, doomed I tell you).
So 3 days by myself to get further with moving things back into the kitchen and catch up on everything else and I do one or two bits and fall asleep (including with a just opened drink in my hand). I was hoping to go to the GPO (with a bill to pay and 3 letters/ parcels). Leg is still painful (ankle is just one messy lump from when I twisted it). I have a hospital appointment tomorrow so it may be wise to skip going to the GPO.
Round up of the month - long, slow and painful but still inching forward.
Grateful for food deliveries (I had to do a small grocery order last week because I was out of painkillers and could not get to even the nearest shops - I may go back to having larger back up stocks once my kitchen is together again), days when I am able to hobble up and down the back yard, entertainment (and being able to concentrate enough for films).
Thanks to all ship mated for their contributions7 -
It will be wonderful to only have things in your cupboards that you like. The mountains of cans from great-gran-nerd must be gone by now. Your cupboards filled with your choices. Priceless.
Enjoy 😉4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
