Hope your leg pain eases overnight @grandmanerd. Thanks for offering to do next month's thread, @apple_muncher. I remember in my teenage years, going into the garden on the 1st, to wash my face in the morning dew. Only did it the one year, live next to a road now, so will get strange looks if I did it now 🤣

Woo hoo, thank crunchie it's Friday! Got my Norwegian & exercises done before work. Work went ok, despite it being freezing cold at breaktime! Went for a walk after tea. Hung the line dried washing on the airer, then entered lots of competitions (had a backlog), from another forum page. Sewed the beard & label on my gonk & started knitting another one.
Grateful for my warm coat, a dry day, my Friday night me-timeUse it up, wear it out

Greetings from the mid-sails rigging! ( On the 9th floor of my hotel )
Saw Su Pollard at Piccadilly station. To be honest you couldn't miss her.
Just have to get through this event and get out of town before the marathon people swarm in. Luckily we should be swimming against the influx so hopefully less busy trains. Want to be on a train by 5.30 at the latest.
Right, second cup of tea needed.
Have a lovely Saturday!

Ahoy shipmates! A mild day, so calm seas today. Headed to our main town & stocked up on supplies, managed to save £20 with my L1dl 10% off. Once all stored away, I went out & did some weeding. Went back out after tea & got the last bit of the border finished. Aching now, so may need to rest in my hammock tomorrow!
Grateful for saving £s, time in the garden, appreciating the little things
I'll have you know @f0xh0les, it's been said in the past that I could do a good impression of Su, & when she did the voiceover for Penny Crayon, I look like the cartoon character! 😂Use it up, wear it out

I'm back! Least said about work the better. Utterly Shanghaiied. It was on the scale of being booked as baggage handler and turning up and finding out you were the pilot. Not for the first time, but I did not expect this particular ambush. Grrrr
Anyway, I will get paid in 💰 and that was the reason I went.
The weather is really hotting up the further south we go Captain @grandmanerd so the factor 50 is in a barrel on the poop deck, please be responsible in the sunshine turtles.
We are not lobsters, although we will be sailing amongst them soon, keep your eyes open, they walk amongst us.
Anyway, stayed within expenses limit, will submit paperwork today.
The freezers are still well stocked, the galley is a mess, two laundry loads are on the rigging, and one set of seeds ( out of 6) appears to be sprouting (just about).
4 days til payday.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I'm very achy today after gardening yesterday, nearly didn't manage to stand up again when trying to take my walking boots off this morning!
Cut & pinned the legs of 4 jumpsuits, then had to go to pin a girl into a gorgeous prom dress. A lot of work needed on it though ... I'd helped in her class many years ago & have also worked with her mum, so she'd made a cake specially for my visit 😋 Whilst in the area I dropped off a bag of clothes for my friend to look through & see if she'd like any. Then it was a mad rush to collect DS3 from the bus stop!
Prepped the 5th jumpsuit, then sewed them all & another quick job, after tea. All the ironing done too.
Grateful for it staying dry on our walk, listening to the downpour whilst in the bath, another big bag of sewing out of my bedroomUse it up, wear it out

Spent the morning sorting out my yucky pond. Not very frugal as I needed to buy a new pump. Some of the plants have died, so I will have to replace those too. I rescued and repotted the ones that were ok-ish, hoping they survive. Not sure why this new pond is being such a nightmare when the much smaller / teeny one is fine. Had a shower, scrubbed my hands and changed all my clothes as I was called into work after lunch. I can still smell yucky pond on my handsMade a frittata for dinner as we have lots of eggs, courtesy of DD's chickens. Used up an elderly red pepper, some leftover cooked potatoes, plus chard, parsley and a single asparagus spear from the garden. The fridge is pretty empty as I only did a small shop last week, so I will need to go tomorrow. Also have the dentist. After that I am hoping for a less spendy rest of the week!

19th NSD up here in the crow's nest.Sawed some lengths of wood in order to make another planter tomorrow. Took DH out to investigate the new shop that has opened up at the top of our road. The Range. Dangerous place! but so much tat! There was still a H0mebase garden centre attached, so bought 3 tomato plants for £3 and a sage plant for £2. DH insisted on paying, so I can keep my NSD and I have planted them out and then cleared another 2m of the yard by sawing up the wood that was lying around. There is only about 2m2 left to wrangle, which is fab. I want to have a clean deck in the next week before we disembark.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
