Not sure how true this is but I’ve heard that there’s a two tier approach adopted to hospital appointments. One arm is working through backlogs while the other is trying to ensure that targets aren’t breached for new referrals. That might be the case for you.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Today, I went into town. I may have found a wardrobe. It is pine and in good condition. It is £100. I would need to paint it as the pine isn't the age/colour I like. With some new door knobs it could look nice. There is a large tin of F&B paint going cheap in 'bone' that says for kitchens and bathrooms. I'm wondering if I could use it to paint the wardrobe?
There was a chair I liked, if it is there when I go for the wardrobe tomorrow I will buy it. Only £30
I bought a beautiful purple salvia! £5
I resisted buying chips. I resisted stopping for tea and cake. Nothing wrong with either but I'm being mindful of frittering this month.
I spoke to the surgery. I am stopping worrying, no point at this stage.
Turkey burgers for later with humous and a rice, raisin and carrot salad
Half way through the week. Feeling autumnal.
Hope your day is going well reader

Dr's and hospital appointments are in my future - and while not quite as seamless as yours DIA, IMHO to attend a same day GP appointment last Wednesday and to have a procedure booked in for next Wednesday is more than satisfactory especially now my summer cold is wearing out so can start feeling more optimistic again
I know its not popular to say but maybe having a government more sympathetic to the NHS is actually working to improve things for us at this bigly end of our seven stagesI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine4 -
Finally caught up with your diary DIA - I started from June which is where I left off since I went off the boards for a while!I must say you've been doing wonderfully - especially with the lodgers. The first lot was certainly difficult but you handled the situation marvellously!
Looking forward to reading your future posts! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Hope the appointment goes well.
I'm impressed with your press up improvement however you do them!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -
Glad your cold is on its way out @mark55man and you are feeling optimistic. Me too
Thanks for the compliment @Seasidegal58 I did better than I thought I would!
Thanks @Jwil my upper body already feels stronger and a tiny bit more defined. As you illustrate frequently, if you put the effort in the rewards are there to be had!
So, an awful, disrupted sleep with anxious dreams. But, on the good side I don't have any pain in my joints. I think I'll take advantage of the painfree joints and do two walks, one into town. I'm not buying the wardrobe that is ok. I'm too old for ok. I want 'wow I love that' so I will wait...The other walk is to Mr L where they are selling ornamental grass. The pots at the front of my house are crying out for help.
If the chair is still there I will buy that.
So, a short post as I want to get out walking. I will log back in this afternoon and check on other diaries then too

I can recommend the ornamental grasses in Mr L. I bought a few last year and they're doing really well (apart from the one the cat has been sleeping on!). In fact all the plants I've bought from there have been good including an olive tree and a blueberry bush.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Dia , soooooo agree with not buying ok. It may have been the wise decision once, but eventually it just doesn't cut it any more. Good decision to wait2

The tide was out today so I walked on wet sand. I found a beautiful stone that is now on my bathroom shelf
I walked a lot today! My feet hurt when I got home. I made progress with clearing my bedroom.
So today I seem to be in a mood to 'get stuff out' so the bread maker is going. It takes space. The bread maker goes on for hours and besides, I can make it by hand. I also cleared the fridge of borderline food that I don't need to eat. I made humous as I had some leftover chickpeas. The bm was a cs purchase and it is going back...
I seem to be doing the I want to get fat diet successfully. It involves crisps and chocolate
I swept my little outside space so moss and leaves don't block up my drain as rain is coming. I bought a cover for the garden bins. It has a toggle that I didn't get to work! So I tied it instead.
I moved some furniture between rooms. Progress has been made on my bedroom.
I miscalculated my finances. I paid the balance on my CC in full. However, I thought it was completely clear, but it still has an outstanding balance. So, that needs dealing with...It will get paid, but I'm keeping my savings as they are...
I'm a bit unsettled, probably why I'm eating for England and having anxiety dreams. Going for camomile to drink and lavender on a heated stone as my big-hitting sleep plan
Hope everyone had a good enough day and if not there is tomorrow
