That's interesting about the insoles, I haven't heard that before, and I wear them for support. I just looked and there seem to be plenty of people saying the do and plenty saying they don't! I think strengthening exercises is always going to be a good thing so I will join you in that."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". If the young ones are inventing new words (Delulu I'm looking at you) then I think we can bring back old ones
Thanks @jwil I think it depends on why the insoles are needed...I don't want to put off anyone who needs to wear them long term...
So, I have a horrible job I keep putting off. My drain has a layer of gunky stuff (looks like fat) that is smelly. I need to lift the grill and clean it out. Yuk, yuk, yuk!!! I have to keep reminding myself I am very lucky to be a homeowner and keeping the drain clean and pong free is a responsibility I need to accept...I will do it first thing in the morning before I chicken out AGAIN
MSE wise I went OD again. Annoying. That buffer needs putting in place prompto! (just found out I was 60p overdrawn!) My bank would be happy to give me an OD facility, but I don't want one. The buffer need not be very much. Even £100 would make a big difference as I am only going slightly overdrawn...- exercises/supplements

- find wrist supports and connect to my work table

Thank you @jackieblack I read your post after doing the deed! But I will remember your recommendation.
So, I have done the deed. By 7.30 it was complete. A fat skimmer from M for soup was most helpful
It was as expected quite disgusting, but also strangely satisfying. After removing all the gunk I poured vinegar and boiling water into the drain and sprayed disinfectant in the area and then more hot water. It looks good now and smells a treat. I will check this and do it every few months. At night I will be pouring vinegar and hot water down the sink to keep it this way. I will pick up some more vinegar from the refill shop
There is a 50p a month drain coverage with my water authority. I hate that the tone of the letter was designed to scare people so I binned it. but...thinking about it I will take it out and just be incredibly careful about cancelling it when the offer has ended- Keep going with bedroom (at least clear table)
- Clean bathroom
- Find a book for journalling
- Contact surgery and chase referral
- Vinegar from refill shop
- Buy cleaning cloths
- Buy a pump and get tyres pumped
- PO
- Financial updating (discovered I was overdrawn by just 60p!)
There are some frogs I've been avoiding. Tackling frogs isn't a way of giving myself stress unnecessarily it is the opposite. Avoidance becomes a stress in itself. They don't need to be done in a day, but they need tackling...So...
FROGS- Checking land registry and speaking to solicitor (checked LR and sent a chase email to solicitor)
- Checking credit report @jwil I remember you mentioning an easy route for this?
- Chasing TP (and getting registered online)

Hi DIA, if you collect any fat from cooking into a kitchen roll sheet and put it in the bin you won't get the fat issue any more. It is also better for the sewers. V x2

The thing is I am already careful. I am aware of our sewer issue. I have a little collapsible pot called a 'gunk' pot that I empty the sink drain sieve into and bin at night. I keep old newspapers and put fat on that. I'm assuming by the amount of hardened gunk I collected that it accumulated before I got here, and I only added to it a little? It won't get that bad again, that's for sure...

Oh well done on dealing with the 'gunk frog'
In times like this I try to invoke my late mum who claimed that you could do anything for five minutes as long as you can wash your hands afterwards, though in this case I would probably add gloves in the first place as well.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Dia I took out one of those drain cover things for 50p or whatever. At the end of the 1 year deal they wanted £279 ! Yes you read that right. They have to let you know by law now before they try to take payment so if you do decide to go ahead, put it in your diary for when renewal comes. They had the temerity to phone me and ask why I wasn't renewing. When I told them the obvious they told me that since I had it for 50p the first year, I effectively had the first 2 years at half price🤣 priceless4
