Thank you @joeyjimbles. You can do anything for 5 minutes as long as you can wash your hands after, is hilarious! And has a lot of truth in it

Thanks @Tresinia511 did you have any issue in that year? £279 is ridiculous. I bet they count on people not cancelling in time and just letting it run...
Still quite a few things on my list. Well I've been busy with other things. My guests go in the morning so I baked some biscuits for them to take (oh, ok, for me to eat too
)
I didn't get the bike pump sorted so had to walk into another area for a medical appointment. I walked back quickly too as the veggie box was being delivered. The exercise was good
My guests want an English brekkie for this evening so I bought some bacon and tomatoes.
Sorted the airing cupboard
I resisted a large bag of crisps in the sm. I also resisted some prints in the cs. They were nice but I need to get what I love on the walls and not buy anything until that is done.
A family member has financial problems. They haven't asked me to help yet but I am steeling myself. My priority right now is to get the EF to £1000
The good news is I now have £750 in my EF.
Sunny and beautiful here with lots of people swimming in the sea.

I will go back to my original 'gut' feeling that the insurance is a waste of time/money as I don't intend to keep it up. I might add it to my usual house insurance for considerably less money! Well done on all your productivity.
If relative comes looking to you for money, remember that 'no' is a full sentence 🥂
Brilliant amount in the EF already 👏
I don't know enough to recommend credit check providers though I'm with Credit K*rma which is a free service and lets you see if any checks have been made and what your 'rating' is, they do Tr*nsunion
If you sign up to any of them, go through a cashback site in case there's a few quid in it for you.

I will just copy what you have done and be lazy. I can't bear thinking about these things very much. That is why it is a frog.
So, the guests have departed. Their bedding is already washed and out drying
I keep a guest book that I will be using for testimonials for the new venture. They wrote lovely things
I went into town to look at furniture. No wardrobes that are suitable. I should have gone on to another area, but did not. I picked up some reduced stuff in marksies. Some of it was frozen (reduced by 50%) and I bought a reduced chicken that will go into the slow cooker in the morning and keep me going for days...
I carried a heavy bag...not a good move with my back issue.
It feels really nice to have my home back to myself and also a bit strange...
I have been treating myself to wine and cheese! Much enjoyed
- exercises/supplements
- find lamp and set up on other desk
- find wrist supports and connect to my work table
- find a book to use as a bullet journal and day book
- laminate yoga poster
- clean bathroom
- hoover stairs and landings
- read
I had an extra £34 in my account so I rounded it up to £50 and sent it over to the EF so I now have an EF of £800
No evening meal to prep for guests! I hardly know what to do for myself...
Tomorrow I have a medical appointment (a lovely friend is taking me and we will have coffee somewhere after, so concentrating on that bit) Then there is a festival here so I will be meeting friends there and driving to a nature spot. So, tomorrow will be nice.
Edited to say the first approach has been made by the relative in financial trouble. A line was dropped previously that I ignored and responded to another point. So, now new approach, but I am ready!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday

Will do, thanks @beanielou
So, up early. Chicken and potatoes in the slow cook
Washing machine on
My phone is going weird so I need to make sure my it is uploading to the cloud in case it goes! I will also go through photos and save any images I need to. I will be peed off if I have to buy a new one. I have a 2020 model that I bought from a family member a year ago. Crossing my fingers it keeps going, but will need to take precautions in case it doesn't...
A few hours until I am picked up for my appointment

Well done on resisting relative.
Enjoy your freedom again, and have a good day after your appointment."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
So, clothes in the wm. A dry day so they should all dry today.
Coffee on, and realising I make a pot of coffee every day. If 3 people are here it is shared. If there is just me I drink it all. I am just as happy either way, so going to experiment with 1/2 a pot daily...
The bedroom floor is still a clutter zone and also a trip hazard so it has to be improved!
I need M washing up gloves, the others are a false economy as they get thrown sooner. I also need some decent kitchen cloths. I have empty fruit bowls. When my fruit bowls are full up I eat better. Will also buy some leafy greens....I'm going to go to the sm. I will spend the cash I have and not touch my ba.
TO DO- keep working on the bedroom
- walk to the sm
- sweep garden and reorganise
FROG- speak to neighbour about their broken gutter
Enjoy your BH Monday everyone!
