So today I woke up unwell. I was up too late as guests went out, which is cool, but disrupted sleep two nights in a row and not enough to eat or drink yesterday left me unwell this morning. No excuse for allowing myself to become dehydrated
I walked this morning and picked up a some chicken drumsticks. I made a chicken stew. Guests out on a day trip but I can heat stew through in 15 minutes whilst YS nans warm up
Came home from walk and rested, cooked, and took it easy.
I am looking forward to Friday, as that is the day I become DF again. Not as exciting as last time as that was 2 years and £23k and this is 5 months and 2k, but it will be nice to be in the red again so I can concentrate on savings
Had a little walk this afternoon. Bought a few YS loaves and 2 large nan bread for 50p. I will keep bread frozen for toast/breakfasts
Kitchen is messy but once I've cleared the surfaces and loaded the dishwasher it will look much better
I haven't found the yoga info I need to get laminated...
Hoping today has been good to you

Dia very, very well done on being DF! No small achievement!2

That's excellent, in some ways an equal achievement as you applied what you learnt and didn't let it spiral out of control. Definitely a large glass of something nice on Friday for you from your also excellent bonus earnings!4

Congrats on nearing debt-free status! Buying YS items like nan bread for 50p is a great budgeting hack. Try the 50/30/20 rule to focus on savings next: 50% needs, 30% wants, 20% savings. Feel better soon!1

Thank you everyone
I am feeling better today thank you @jwil I'm still a bit groggy but I am going to eat well and drink lots of water. I already made a salad and I prepped some bean, miso and beetroot burgers for later
It has felt easy having guests this time. They leave early and are back late. They appreciate everything. They are out tonight, so they don't need a meal. They visit the UK every year to teach. It is a weekly group. I think M-F suits me much better. Also 2 at a time as I can eat earlier and they can eat together.
I know the outgoings have not been high, but the payment I receive is very small. My chicken stew yesterday went down well. I used drumsticks that are not expensive. That said, the food bill is still higher than I want it to be. I have been costing the expenses and I realise I need the YS foods and a Mr L box to make it viable. I need to use my freezer to ensure it is filled with YS protein. I promised these guys an English breakfast on the morning they leave. Luckily I have YS bacon! After these guys have gone, I will buy some YS protein and a few Mr L boxes so I have a stockpile for the guests due next week. But all said and done, this one was a short notice booking so I have done well
A friend messaged. We are going for a walk this afternoon, so that will be nice, although it looks like rain here!
Wishing you all a positive day

So, if you have read this diary recently you will know I agreed to have 2 people at short notice. The man spent some time moving very heavy things and fixing a table. I now have some office space in my bedroom. In the end the loft will be the office space, but the bedroom is fine for now.
Both current house guests will be welcome next year as it has been a pleasure to have them (plus they stay for a week and a week is good for me)
I have stayed low spend today. It would have been no spend but I bought teas for my friend and I when we had our long walk along the beach
I accessed the email set up for the new business idea and I had had an enquiry. Now I have had the teachers, I know I can do the business I wanted well.
Another idea I had draws closer, as a mutual friend has arranged a key introduction. However, I need to think through why I want to do it. As I get older, I find myself thinking 'is this the best use of my time?' The same question applies for money and time...Am I spending time/money in a way that supports my values?
Off to organise my bedroom...

Dia, I do fully understand the instinct for women only guests, but as you have found, many of our male counterparts are very lovely human beings! Great news these visitors have been a success!4
