Sometimes just the sticker that says this place is under CCTV is sufficient. Or a pretend security camera. I have also seen people write notes to say this doorstep is private property please don't use it as an ashtray
Thanks WMD I will have a think. There is a sensor late with a camera that I might get connected. I don't need the camera to be on, a deterrent as you say for people who cannot be decent people and insist on being ar*es instead...

Research any cameras before you buy as something like Ring has you paying a monthly subscription whereas Eufy is a stand alone one with no ongoing costs.

Dia, housecoat- gate purchase was keeping me entertained ( says something😁), then suddenly it was over!  I had checked back and couldn't find what had caused this calamity,  but on re-checking (nothing obsessive about me 🤭) i realised I had actually replied to the very post in which you had explained (while simultaneously having ignored the bit about the housecoat) oh well I could blame it on the Christmas sherry but actually hadn't had any at that point😛. Oh well time to move along,  maybe you will get a bargain with the lighter one.  But what is meant by lighter?  Colour or fabric? I could compromise on colour but not fabric, not that it is anything to do with me lol

Thanks @PennysIntoPounds The cigarette butts didn't blow in. They are in my flower pots sadly...
The pipe covering was folded in the recess at the front of my house. Blown in rubbish is different and I accept that. I'm still thinking about my response...

How rude, no-one I know who smokes would ever do that. Though people are probably just being thoughtless rather than deliberately disrespectful. Is there room for a gate or at least a bit of rope strung from hooks or something?
I think most people aren't nasty, just not thinking.
We're currently deliberating with our build about the pros and cons of paying for some sort of gate and if so what type. I have to accept that if someone is going to be a criminal then they'll go about their criminal business, but because the build is tucked back from the street with a sort of alley, I'm worried about men p*ssing in what they think in their minds is a more respectable private place but will have me constantly thinking that someone's doing something more awful..

We have a skip in our drive at the moment and I was not impressed that someone had thrown a dog poop bag in it 😖 Used a litter grabber to remove and deposit in the council dog waste bin across the road as they should’ve done. I mean why 🤷‍♀️
