Thanks @beanielou I remember when you had an issue too
Exactly! @Sun_Addict
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds I hope you find a solution to the sort of alley
Fear not @Tresinia511 the lighter one will work for 75% of the year. I expect the warmer one will go on sale in the summer and I will grab it then.
The downstairs is open plan so difficult to warm. Add in old draughty windows and it just never feels warm. I'm going to do the following- Thermal liners at windows
- Door curtains
- Draught excluder for letterbox
- Draught tape
I made delicious soup in the IP
I have a tiny turkey breast joint that will be cooked in the IP for later with some veggies
I am in reflective mood...it is time of year

2nd the Eufy - we’ve had ours 3 years and it’s a godsend for avoiding doorstep hawkers -beanielou said:I can recommend a eufy camera thingy.
our village has a chap who gets dropped off by a van with a huge rucksack and he puts his foot in the door and curses if you don’t buy off him. I really enjoy ignoring him and watching him walk away on the doorcam 🙄🤣
eufy is good as you don’t have to pay a subscription like you do with Ring as has been said on here.Lancashire

Thanks @SuzeQStan for the seconding!
Thanks @in_need_of_direction, like you I want to be intentional and not sleep walk through another precious year
I changed some curtains over to thicker ones. I bought them for £5 in a CS and they are a linen/cotton mix, oatmeal coloured, and so much nicer than the new JL ones. I've been thinking about changing them over for months. It took ten minutes...
My bedroom looks sooo much better. It still isn't 'done' but it is so much more organised...
Off to put the kitchen to bed

Today I got active quickly. I do sooo much better when I get going not long after I wake up...
- cleaned front door, front windows and swept and weeded
- tidied flower pots
- bought some flowers (baby daffs and cyclamen all reduced)
- long walk to friends for coffee (took a plant as a housewarming gift)
- bought some YS protein for the freezer (and some Christmas cake and mince pies..whoops)
- small YS turkey joint and veggies in SC
- scoured second hand shops for furniture
I have reconciled my finances and I have my EF back again. This time I have sent it to PBs as that will be a tiny bit of effort to get it out. (thanks @jwil who posted about being the end of the month so best time to buy PBs)
I have a tiny buffer account of £100
I am deliberating over a vintage wardrobe for my living space. I think it could work for storage, I saw one of the cottages I viewed with one and thought hmmm, I like that! There again, people might come in and think 'why has that woman got a wardrobe in her living room'
It is quite lovely and has a central mirror that would reflect light, my plants could live on top of it and all my coats and clutter could go inside...but I mustn't think too long as it will go...
A good day for me. I hope it was a good day for you too

Who are these random people who are traipsing into your living room muttering in their heads, they can turn right around and b*gger right off! Get the vintage wardrobe and have your tidy space and reflected light and place for plants ❤️https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1
