    Hey everyone

so I’ve finally had a email from dcb legal with a draft consent for attached below as you can see they are willing to settle if I pay the sum on the document which is still £1500 plus. Am I right in thinking I can contest this and should reply with a email saying I am not willing to pay anything. Just take make a note aswel they have the date wrong for the day the bailiff posted the notice of enforcement

thanks again for your help everyone

Did they actually send a 'Notice of Enforcement' first, in February?

Ignore their kind offer. You have a hearing to go to and you want the CCJ set aside and hopefully all your costs back, AND a fair chance to defend the PCN(s) which aren't £1512!

    Their usual weasel words:

"The PCNS were issued whilst your vehicle was parked at Pryme Street Hull, where you breached the terms of parking stipulated on the signs."

Do they know the driver?  If not so this is a lie.  You did not breach the terms, the unnamed driver may have.

Hey @C@Coupon-mad no I did not receive a notice of enforcement I only found out about all this when the notice of enforcement was hand posted to me on the 12 march.

So I don’t need to respond I should just ignore it and wait for the court date or should I politely decline their offer.

@kry@kryten3000 no they don’t know the driver and it was not me driving the car

But that wasn't a 'Notice of Enforcement' was it? I'm asking if you ever got one of those. Specifically. Did they send THAT notice?

    Why the question mark?

You should know - because you've seen the required stages and supposedly capped HCEO fees which I think I linked in this thread - why that matters.

It seems (from your reported case and others like it) that they are bypassing the GOVERNMENT CAPPED £75 'compliance stage' and just adding a random sum of c£200 within days of a default CCJ and telling people "it's gone up" from what was ordered by a Judge two working days earlier.

Sorry the question mark was by mistake it was just meant to be a full stop.

Yes within 7 days the writ had been put in place and the amount had gone from £600 ish upto £1500

Yes and I think you should put in a formal complaint with DCB Legal to explain why they added more than the £75 Compliance Fee within days of judgment.

Attach proof / a chronology and insist on an answer.  You gave to do that complaint first before you can do this:

    https://www.hceoa.org.uk/contact-us/make-a-complaint

"If you have a complaint about how and when High Court enforcement fees have been applied, please fill in our complaints form below."
