Well today is the day I find out how much my car is going to cost. I feel sick and I hardly slept last night. I have made it into the office and depending on how things go I might ask my boss if I can have the afternoon off.

My fingers are crossed that I'll be lucky. Mum has said she will pay for some of the repairs as she uses the car. I just wish I didn't need her help! The garage openned 20 mins ago so I am hoping that they look at me early and I can sort the money out. I am so worried about it I don't really know what to do.

I'm going to try and keep busy, I said I would look into CCCS and payplan for OH which I will do this morning and get all the numbers for him and I will do some job work although that one will be difficult. As I said yesterday, at the very worst I will have to go into the bank and beg for some money/help. I'm just glad that Mum is behind me. Although I know she is worried about it to as she can see I'm stressed and being stressed makes me ill which is not what I need right now. I can feel my heart racing and I just want to curl up and pretend that it hasn't happened and the whole weekend has been a dream.

Ok off to find those numbers, looks like I might be here a lot this morning, I have no brain to concentrate with!!

Just checked my Amazon seller account and I have £25.70 in there. Which at least will give me a payment off my OD this month, but my laptop certainly isn't going to have one.

I hate this, I hate all of it!!

I have a beautiful (can you tell I love her!) T reg ford Feista 1.25 zectec. It's whether any damage has been done to the valves etc (I know nothing about cars!) although OH's mechanic friend thinks I will be lucky

That's what everyone else has said. I hope so, I will of course give a full report once I have spoken to the garage.

Oh and another good thing that happened this weekend is OH had his LBM and has cancelled the tickets to the rugby!!!! Which saves us £68 + train ticket each!!!

Very good boy and he has got rolls to make his own lunch this week. I have promised to help as much as I can.

Ok, just given in and called the garage......

They are still doing some checks, but my VALVES ARE OK :D They can't say that something else hasn't been broken, but they are going to fit a new tensioner and cam belt and see if that works and then call me back.

    Cost:

Cam belt - £225. (OH thinks that this includes labour)
    Tensioner - £35
    Other cost - £40

Guesstimated about £300, but subject to nothing else being wrong and labour. That's not to bad is it.

But I wouldn't get her back until tomorrow. And they are going to call me once they know for sure.

    A little less panicked now.

Spoke to OH and he is ok with that cost, and has been a good boy and taken his lunch to work with him!!! He is learning. But laughed and said we would both be broke together!
