Just spoken to Mum and the stuff for my credit card has arrived. So I will be able to check my credit limit and get all the paper work signed tonight and in the post tomorrow. I guess there is something ok happening today.

Morning all.
Slept much better last night, still worried about the car, but what can I realistically do?
I can either afford to repair it or I can't. If I can't I can either save up for it or beg the bank to help me. If the repair costs more than the car is worth I will have to write it off and hope that my insurance will help (although I don't know how it works) I am going to try and not stress about it until I know what I have to worry about. OH wants me to get the garage to call him when they ring me about it, as I don't understand and he does
Looked at the credit card information last night and they were not going to give me the card I applied for, but one with 34.9% APR!!! Needless to say I have called them this morning and cancelled the application, that is just stupid! I will just have to try and carry on as I am.
I am going to try and get loads more work done today although I think it will be a struggle.
I hope that everyone else is ok

Me and OH have just spoken to the garage (OH is happy with it) and my engine is fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:j :T :rotfl:
Nothing needed doing to the engine, I have a new cam belt and tensioner and my total bill is £338.46p!! I can pick up up tonight. Which means I can afford her
Very relieved as I am sure you can imagine. Will be taking very good care of her from now on.
Just spoken to Mum who is going to pay the £138.00 for me and I will pay the £200 and as I am paid on Friday I will be ok for the rest of the week :TCurrent debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
lad to hear everything went ok (well as ok as it can do!)
Do you get your car serviced regularly?Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71

My car has a full service history so when I bought it 3 years ago I kept it up, I have always used the same garage to (all of it's services expect the first one have been done there)
I figured if I came to sell it a full service history would be a good thing!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0
