I hope you save loads on your interest payments!
Just be very careful with it! When I told you the other day, I had a £9100 in ccs available, Lloyds have very kindly given me another cc for another £5500!! Apparently because I am a good customer I need a Master Card and a Visa credit card or some junk! Bah!Debt Free - done

Would it not have been better to get an ugly one - so you'd never dare take it out?
Maybe John Prescott al-flagrante..?
Seriously though, I will be very careful. I have managed my whole adult life without a credit card, I don't intend to start needing one now. I just want to lower my interest rate and this seems the most logical way to do it. I have no intention of carrying the thing, I have no need to.

I will be uber careful. As I said above I'm not going to take it anywhere and if I do use it, it will only be in emergencies like my car costing a fortune or something (and only then if I can't get hold of the money another way) I think that this site has taught me enough to realise how dangerous they can be and to only use is sensibly.
Thanks though hon... anyway who in their right mind would want something like £16,000 on a credit card anyway!!!!!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Hi
I'm feeling really low and thought that I would tell you about it. I don't know what to do about OH. If I explain.
We met in April 07 and get on well. But I can't remember the last night we went for a night out with friends, I can't remember the last time we didn't just sit in front of the tv all weekend. I'm not asking for expensive nights out or even every week, but once in a while would be nice. We had an argument on New Year (he didn't even wish me a happy new year!) and I can't help feeling like I come second to Rugby (he plays for a local team)
He never wants to go out or doing anything, has put our names down for England international(rugby) tickets which are going to cost £68 (possibly each!) without even asking if I wanted to go, made a big fuss about the fact he might have to miss playing a rugby to spend the weekend with me in a hotel to celebrate my cousins 21st. I feel like I am not important and that he doesn't care. I'm not sure how much longer I can take this.
I like him (I'm not happy to use the word love really) but I'm not sure I am doing the right thing staying. I have very few friends that live near me and really only Mum to listen and I can't stand the thought of being lonely again, but then I wonder if that's the one reason Im still with him? I was chatting to a friend at work and she said we could arrange a couple of nights out and that I should just go out without him, but I don't know what to do.
I just feel like crying!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

Im sorry to hear this hun, but im afraid that the sentence above says it all. If you dont love someone after that length of time then i dont think you should be with them. You will meet somone new (someone that DESERVES and treats you properly!)
Go on the nights out and ENJOY YOURSELF!!! You deserve it! Make some new friends and get a good circle of friends and go out with them.Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71

Thanks
The problem is I'm not sure how to (that sounds pathetic I know) I really just want to cry and the hope it all goes away.
I might have a chat to Mum later and see what she thinks. Oh and then there is the old one of where do you meet new people?Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
There is no easy way im afraid. You just have to come out and say it but you will feel better for doing it.
well by the sounds of it your friend from work will go out so you would meet people through that. Do you have any hobbies? My group of friends is huge (sorry im not trying to rub it in just dont know how else to say it) and that is all down to meeting friends of friends, that i end up getting on with and so on so it just gets bigger. It might be daunting to start with but you will get through it!!!
I also have different groups of friends from different hobbies, going down a local is also a good way to meet people. You be amazed how many people start chatting to you when they start seeing you in the same place regularly.
Also use the title of your Diary for inspiration!!Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71

Thanks
I'm sure it will all work out one way or another. I am just not very happy with it all at the moment.
I'll talk to Mum about it, she's very good and listens to me waffle, although as my Mum her advice is bias and all that. I just want to be able to have fun with someone. I asked him what his plans were for tomorrow and he said nothing it's raining!! I know that it doesn't mean you can't do something!!
Maybe we are just 2 different.
And my ex made it very easy for me to walk away.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
By the sounds of it so is this one!
If you dont want to do anything straight away then arrange to go out with your work friend and see if he notices. Then if he says anything just explain to him that your bored staying in, at least that way you are giving him a chance (if thats what you want to do)
I hope it all works out for the best FOR YOU (what ever way that is)Debt Now~Total-£14,366.72~CC-£1,600.00~Sofa-£1,349.01~Loan-£11,417.71

I'll talk to Mum and try to get it straight in my head. He is working late today so I will have time.
Problem is if I am realistic about it I can't see much of a future, I think I want to (as I hate dating) but realistically using my head and all that I'm not so sure.
I hate being the bad guy.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0
