Netflix with Ads experiences

I'm trying to reduce my monthly entertainment bill and can no longer justify paying £12.99 per month for the standard plan when the with Ads plan is £5.99. What are your experiences with this plan, are the adverts constant and as I suspect really annoying or are they just one or two at the beginning of a show?

I don't find them too frequent.
I use the time to go and put the kettle on etc.
why not try it for a while and at least save yourself £7 if only for one month. If you find it really unbearable you can always reconsider.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. We've done it and it's fine. Even the kids aren't bothered. I would say go for it, it's easy enough to upgrade it if you don't like it.1

I barely notice it and they tend to be very short, not like tv ads. No brainer."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "1

Haven't tried Netflix with ads, I signed up whilst on holiday and despite declaring my address as the UK and obv using a UK CC I'm still charged the overseas rate which is considerably cheaper than the UK one.
I do have Prime Video with ads and it's ok, ads before everything and some things, mainly longer TV/Documentaries an ad break every 45 mins or so. Most films dont but occasionally I seem to get them.
Netflix is different though in that some content cannot be viewed on the Ads version, no idea the frequency or relevance, they claim it is a small percentage.1 -
I had NF with ads at £4.99 a month but got rid when they upped the price to £5.99 (there is very little content that is not available with ads and that is a contract issue mainly with some older contracts) - didn't find the ads too bad, nothing like as many as ITV - I upped my Disney+ with ads to ad free when I ditched NF and I pay £2 extra a month to be ad free on Now TV.0

I'll give it a go I guess. Downgraded from next month. Now to find free Apple TV again.0

I've had it for a year. Ads are minimal, though I suppose it depends what you're watching. Usually only get 30 seconds to a minute of ads every few hours. Yesterday I watched a movie and two hours of drama, and not a single ad!
Ironically, I get less ads on Netflix than we get between programmes on the BBC!
Oh also there's a handy countdown clock in the corner of the screen during ads which tells you how long the ad break is for.1 -
The 'children' profile does not include ads even with the with ads package.

Fed up with Netflix keep increasing the cost of the monthly subscription, now going to be £12.99. It's only occasionally where you get something half way decent to watch, it's just a continual churn of the "retired assasin", "esponage", "psychopath", "home invasion", "detective with issues" type plot etc etc. When you look at recently added it is all stuff from India. "Adolescence" was superb and a few years ago would have been produced by the BBC or commissiond by C4.
I have downgraded to Netflix with ads now. I will sign up for NowTV next time there is an offer - watch The White Lotus and Gangs of London then cancel as there is so little that is new on the TV show subscription compared to what there used to be.0 -
