. I had an account with them for nearly 50 years (starting with a book at school). I kept my account open but moved my money to Chase a couple of years back, keeping an active mortgage at the time. I didn't qualify for the last £100 payment, spat my dummy out and closed the account once clearing the mortgage.
I have since re-opened an account just to use the regular saver and have £800 in there. I received the email to say I was getting the payment but nothing showing in the app. From the brief read of the T&C's I am pretty sure I won't get it...again.Are you maxing out the Regular Saver each month, thus you reopened an account in December? If so, you fall foul of the cut off date at the end of September - but if not, I can’t see any reason you wouldn’t qualify. One of my parents just has savings accounts with them and may only have qualified via opening a 5.5% Fixed Rate Bond last June, transferring the money from a passbook account.
I won't lose sleep over £50 but a shame to miss out on 'free money'. It was just ironic that I think the last one by a month or two and still had a mortgage with them.0 -
Just a quick thought. My partner's £50 appeared in our joint account this morning. Does that mean I'll be paying tax on half of that? (I'll be over the £1k non-ISA interest)0

Oh. I am, and my partner too. Sent her the £50 to her main account (Lloyds) already.
Anyway, mainly wondering what to put in my spreadsheet for taxable income in 25/26. I've put £75 for now (£50+25).0 -

Do you get a text or email confirmation that the £50 has been credited to your Nationwide account?
