I just got the text to say its been paid. Looks like ive have to ring them to get them to send me my log in details!

Are you not an "active" member then?

Did you meet the criteria as per the T&C's?

eg Made a transaction or have £100 with them AIUI
    Nope,

I used the accounts years back when they offered a good interest rate on the current account.

As soon as the rates ended, whenever that was, it was the last time I used it. I actually thought I had closed the account.

I haven't checked the t&cs. But I got a letter a month or two ago and today got the text to say the money has been paid into my account.

Ah, interesting.    I'm in the same boat, had the original email but didn't think I'd qualify.   No text or additional email yet, and no way of checking because all my log-ins need resetting.   which I wasn't going to bother with unless the £50 was there!  ;)

Anyone else had the money when they didn't think they qualified?
Well, I've had the text!! 😁🤑

I'll leave it until next week, then see what hoops I need to jump through 😉

Update for anyone in a similar position...

It appears that receiving the £50 into one of my dormant accounts has triggered a "reactivation" of my log-in details and when I tried again it asked me for numbers from my passcode (which I took a stab at what it was), it then sent an OTP code and i'm in!!!

Last log in was April 2019, when the Reg Savers matured.

£50 was there (in a Flex online saver) and my nominated account was still current.   Withdrawal done, money arrived safely.

DH had the same original email, but as yet has not received the text, and his log-ins don't work....yet.

We had the same accounts, so we'll see what develops.

Hope this is of help to some of you.
You were able to transfer without the card and card reader?
When I updated the app a few weeks ago it looked as though it would now let a payee be set up without it (but I haven’t needed to add one yet so I can’t be sure.) Sea_Shell did say their account was still current on there though and they always have only asked for the card reader occasionally where details are already set up.
My details are still there from years back. So im not making a new payee. Mayble ill try again and see if it works without it this time.
Are you using the app rather than Internet Banking, in case that makes a difference?
Yes tried both. Doesnt really matter ill just a few days for my new card.
Got the new card but they didnt send a new pin. Obviously I do not know the old pin so ive requested a new one sent. Another 5 days to wait...

Its been a fair bit of hassle but worth it for 50 quid I suppose..
Ex Sg27 (long forgotten log in details)

Massive thank you to those on the long since defunct Matched Betting board.

Hi. My daughter, now 19, had a Child Trust Fund with Nationwide and no other Nationwide account. She cashed out her fund to her HSBC account in February. Since then, in March, she had a letter regarding the £50 payment. The scheme ended end of April and cheques would be sent out. Questions: Will she still be eligible, even though she closed her CTF but still received the letter and or, is there still time to receive the cheque? We will go into see Nationwide depending on responses here. Thanks.

Strictly speaking she would not be, as they required that people were still members when they made the payment to receive it. As she didn’t retain membership via £1 in an Easy Access account or similar, she ceased to be a member when she cashed the fund out.

Looking at posts here, they’ve errored in a few people’s favours by paying the £50 into dormant accounts but they seem to have sorted out their system by the time it came to sending cheques.

In future, always best to never entirely end a relationship with a provider - you never know when it might come in useful.
