Are you not an "active" member then?
Did you meet the criteria as per the T&C's?
eg Made a transaction or have £100 with them AIUI
I used the accounts years back when they offered a good interest rate on the current account.
As soon as the rates ended, whenever that was, it was the last time I used it. I actually thought I had closed the account.
I haven't checked the t&cs. But I got a letter a month or two ago and today got the text to say the money has been paid into my account.
Ah, interesting. I'm in the same boat, had the original email but didn't think I'd qualify. No text or additional email yet, and no way of checking because all my log-ins need resetting. which I wasn't going to bother with unless the £50 was there!
Anyone else had the money when they didn't think they qualified?
I'll leave it until next week, then see what hoops I need to jump through 😉How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

After that success I'm guessing everyone who's a member funds or no funds will receive it. I read even someone who opened an account last month got the payment too.1 -
I take it this is declarable to HMRC as savings interest?0

How is the payment treated for UK tax purposes?
The payment is a one-off share of our profits to members. The treatment of the payment for UK tax purposes depends on whether you are an investing, a borrowing member, or both, when we make it. More details can be found in the terms and conditions.
We are not required to deduct any tax from the payment, but we will report it to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). You may be liable for income tax on the payment, depending on whether the total amount of interest you receive in the tax year when the payment is made is more than your Personal Savings Allowance.
If you receive an interest certificate from us, this will only cover The Big Nationwide Thank You payment. If you’re looking for a full tax year interest certificate for one or more of your accounts, you can find this on the internet bank.
If you only hold an eligible mortgage with us when we make the payment, we are taking steps to confirm how it is treated for UK income tax purposes, and you may be liable for tax. We will update this page once we have more information to share.
This tax information is based on our understanding of current law and HMRC practice applying to UK resident taxpayers. Current law and HMRC practice may change.
Nationwide takes no responsibility for tax advice and if you are in any doubt, you should seek your own tax advice.

Well after spending 1.5 hours on live chart I now have my old account details. Ive re registered with online banking and the £50 is there!
Still got my old payee set up of one of my other current accounts so tried to transfer the £50 but it seems I need the card, pin and card reader...
Back on to LC I go...Ex Sg27 (long forgotten log in details)Massive thank you to those on the long since defunct Matched Betting board.1 -

Update for anyone in a similar position...
It appears that receiving the £50 into one of my dormant accounts has triggered a "reactivation" of my log-in details and when I tried again it asked me for numbers from my passcode (which I took a stab at what it was), it then sent an OTP code and i'm in!!!
Last log in was April 2019, when the Reg Savers matured.
£50 was there (in a Flex online saver) and my nominated account was still current. Withdrawal done, money arrived safely.
DH had the same original email, but as yet has not received the text, and his log-ins don't work....yet.
We had the same accounts, so we'll see what develops.
Hope this is of help to some of you. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)2 -

Luckily my nominated account didn't need updating. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0
