Yep, now sort out all the paragraph numbering and you're done, for this stage.

I've just received a default judgment!! I followed all the steps as advised. What on earth has gone wrong. Currently waiting for a call back from the court.

Happens a lot, very common crap admin by the CNBC. We see it at least once a month.

In fact, if you search for replies by me including the words 'common complain CNBC' you'll find quite a few who went through this waste of time.

The date of issue was the 03/03/2025 and I filled in the AOS today

With a Claim Issue Date of 3rd March, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service('AOS') in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 7th April 2025 to file a Defence.

That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an AOS has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

You need to be aware that those Particulars of Claim are totally inadequate.

So it is alleged that the driver 'parked in breach of the terms of parking stipulated on the signage (the 'Contract')'.

Nowhere in those Particulars is there any explanation of what the driver is alleged to have done wrong.
This will be an easy win.
Are you sure I had until 07/04/2025?

I'd have served by 04/04 to be fair.

    Claim/PoC issued 03/03
    Service +5 (08/03)
AoS must be +14 (by 22/03)
Defence must be +14 (by 05/04)

MCOL expressly states the service date for the claim form is the date, irrespective of business days. The cautious approach would always be to serve the day before, rather than after the weekend. The defence was largely done by 03/04.

When did the defence go in and when was judgment handed down? If the defence was filed before judgment or judgment incorrectly entered early, this is easily fixed.

    Agreed.

And two years ago they were paying £150 compensation in these cases - e.g. thread by @jag_run

But now they just go "oh dear, we missed your defence, sorry about that. Alright then we've set aside that order. Off you go. Nothing to see here"!

Then you won the race and the CCJ is improper and must be set aside by CNBC staff.

Same as this one today, see how common this is?
