Hello all, I finished off the rest of my soup today, it was still absolutely beautiful, and had a couple of the office Roses left over from before Christmas for afters!
So my grand total for this week (albeit 3 days) is 51p! I presume I can get away with having to spend £4 on a flask for the soup??Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I too am a ribs fan only I do it in one pot. Big side of ribs from the butcher as jlynncsf says: place in a big pot (try not to break the side of ribs), add potatoes and cabbage and cook together. The potatoes come out pink and everything tastes of the other. Magic!

Tete en l'Air - I'm having same issue! I have a flask, but if I'm going to make soup in bulk, I think I might have to buy some containers to freeze it!Lightbulb moment Oct 2007

I was bad today. Made extra shep pie last night but made the mistake of leting OH serve himself so he ate it ALL and not the veg he was supposed to eat with it. So i just brought fruit and yoghurt but ended up meeting a friend for lunch and spending £3.90 as well!!
I'm on holiday next week, never really got into 'work mode' for these 3 days. So will start again in earnest when i get back.
Good luck for when i am away - the soups sound great!0 -
After Wednesday's overspend, I swore to not spending, but failed on that score again all week..........
2/1 (Weds) - £9.24 (34p on lunch, the rest on impulse sale buys!)
3/1 (Thurs) - £13.23 (£1.23 on lunch and rest on impulse sale buys for me and mum!)
4/1 (Fri) - £11.75 (58p on lunch and the rest on impulse sale buys for me!)
I am going to have to resort to drastic measures - like leaving my purse at home and just carrying cash!0 -
I haven't spent anything this week on lunches so I am well pleased. Just taken bread to work for toast and a tin of spaghetti. Still loads of sweets etc in work and I have managed to take a slice of home made cake each day as well.
