Hi everyone,
Just seen this thread - please can I join in too. I need to squeeze more out of my budget for extra cc payments and think this is an area I could do much much better as you'll see from just 3 days back at work!
2/1 £2.80
3/1 £5.97 (soup and a sandwich - turned down free bread with the soup too)
4/1 £0 (Finally!!)
So, my week 1 total is £8.77 - next week will be better!

Can I have a number please?
My work is based either in the office (no excuse for not taking lunch) or out with clients - who may buy/supply me lunch :j :j or may not  ). Complicated also as I will have 2, 3, 4 & 5 day trips so egg sarnies not really an option
.
This week - 1 day packed lunch :T , 1 day paid for but can claim back :T , 1 day bought £3.20 baguette  .
My target is to take lunch every day I'm in office & keep car well stocked up (in boot so can't reach it) with cereal bars, slimfast smoothies & dried fruit to help with when I'm out & about. I will also buy a large supply of bars to take to Ireland with me (I am NOT packing smoothies in my suitcase :rotfl: ).
Will be seeking out the 10 cal soups from Morrisons - I think these are what I used to get years ago, in a v small box????? Anyone know whereabouts they stock them as I'm sure they are not with cupasoups?
Quick tip - if you can't get ribs try a gammon hock (£1.39 in Morrisons :j ). Bring to boil then change water & bring back to bolil. Bung in slow cooker with veg for about 5 hours - cut fat off & meat will fall off the bone. Use stock to make soup. I love the meat for Sunday dinner or with mustard sauce. I also use in risottos, salads etc so it will be featuring highly on my lunch menu - cheaper than chips :T .
Also - lets all use the part baked loaves & rolls we bought at Xmas but didn't use.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Ali007, thanks for the gammon hock tip, I don't have a morrisons near me unfortunately, maybe I shall go further afield to the one that's about 8 miles away to make a change, is it worth it? Do they do a lot of non-food stuff too?
I think it's amazing how much we seem to spend on lunchtimes, albeit most of it not being food!DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I spent nothing on lunch yesterday, and hopefully will not today either. I am going to leave for work as late as possible, so I resist the temptation to sit in the staff room snacking.Total debt: £3400.

While planning my meals for the week today, think im gonna plan my lunches too.
Today we are having chicken roast dinner...mmm...so tomorrows lunch is going to be somethign with chicken!
Im thinking pasta with a tomatoe and chicken based sauce with sprinkled cheese on top. Or possible make it into a pasta bake that just need to reheat at work.
Sone a big shop online at Tescos this week so should have enough for a couple of weeks.£2 Savers club £0/£150

I'm back at work tomorrow too, although working from home. Only in the office two or three days this week so should be able to manage a £0 week. Will keep posting on here to keep me motivated- I tend to be good at the start of the week then things slip on Thursday and Friday.
I have a sprined wrist at the moment (hence working from home a bit) so can't physically pick up my morning coffee on the way to work and I'm hoping that this will get me out of the habit of it.
