A NSD for me too...hopefully I won't eat something at the railway station like yesterday!
We moved house recently to a place 3 min walk from my husband's work (he's a chef) so he gets home a lot earlier than me (I have a 2 hour commute - one way). Therefore he's been doing most of the cooking and I've been getting some gorgeous lunches! Today he packed homemade cottage cheese curry (the cottage cheese in the curry was homemade too!), Italian grilled chicken (marinaded in Italian herbs and spices - chicken isn't from Italy!), couscous, lettuce and carrots. Sounds a mess but tasted glorious! I don't mind giving up my EAT soups at all now!Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

Another nsd for me as I don't work on Fridays so I'm at home. Got a friend coming over but it's just ham sandwiches for us. :rotfl:

It all sounds glorious apart from  what is a cottage cheese curry, and how can that be possible?!!??!?!!?!?!?
I spent yesterday, £1.50 on a half portion of chips and a roll n butter from burger van. Chip butty a go go!! Cheap, tasty, but not very nutritious!
Today i have yesterdays tea repeated, cajun chicken with salad and caesar dressing. and a crusty roll. Spend 40p on a roll but worth it, as salad is just salad without bread!
total spend on lunches this week £1.90...... i can live with that!!!!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Hi everyone
Well, I think we've made a respectable show of ourselves this week. Some of the lunches sound fabulous, if a wee bit adventurous.
Here's my week in glorious calorific technicolour (note to self)
Monday - homemade sandwiches and ham, M&S crisps, juice & white choc cookie £2.90
Tuesday - Left-over-last-night Mac & Cheese, Asda diet coke
Wednesday - baguette with egg mayo, crisps, diet coke -£4.20:mad:
Thursday - HM chicken sandwiches, HM (twink) hobnobs, HM bananabread:o
Friday - HM egg mayo bagels, hobnobs diet Bru (yep, couldn't last Maz)
The moral of my week is that I spent £4.20 on Wednesday for a totally rubbish lunch. Am trying to come in under a fiver next week.

I spent £1 on my loaf of bread this morning. That's to make my sandwiches all week at work. Already got ham, cheese, butter and pickle in the fridge. I bought in yoghurts and apples but forgot to bring in my crisps
Here's to a cheap week

Hehe...well the paneer you eat in curries in Indian restaurants is essentially cottage cheese with all the water squeezed out of it. The type we make at home looks more crumbly because we just drain it not squeeze it. Very handy thing to make with milk that's about to go off.
OH and I were both ill yesterday so no packed lunch for me today. So I spent...gulp...£4.09 on bread and blueberries for the week, and £3.10 on an EAT soup. Plus succumbed to chocolate covered hazelnuts at the station so another 1.90 gone there. Not a good start to the week but hopefully things will look up.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

*m&s food hall is not my friend*
Well it's definitely not now, as I havent been in there for the past 6 days! WOOHOO!
Yesterday I took in a tin of Asda Macaroni cheese, a crunch corner, lemon slice and a go ahead bar... didnt get round to eating the mac or the crunch corner as was too busy.
Days before that its been a sandwich, I've got hundreds of the little jars of sandwich paste... this week I have been mostly eating Sardine and Tomatowith a yoghurt, small cakey thing and some cucumber slices.
Only day I did fall off the log (geddit HAHAHAHA - ok bad effort on my part) was when a colleague from another store was visiting and we went out for lunch, however since he travelled we get to claim the lunch on petty cash
Day off today, so doing my crazy woman impression in the house and will try and cook up something lovely to go cold to take in tomorrow... This week is turning out to be a disaster in the lunch log stakes. Yesterday I spent £9.09 on various bits and today I didn't bring in lunch (ate out last night ergo no leftovers for lunch!) so am now having my EAT soup - £3.10. Plus, my juice stock is low so I'll need to buy some more on Thursday. I *need* to go home today and cook something I can bring in tomorrow.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)
