Hi guys
It’s a bit chilly and grey here so I’m not going out at all. So it will be a NSD which is good as it’s going to be an expensive month as DS1 get married this month. In terms of healthy food I’ve had a salad bun for lunch and we’re having cauliflower cheese and sausages for tea.Today is going to be a relaxing day, so far I’ve watched an old Midsomer Murder and I’m going to do some of the jigsaw I got for Xmas. Also, maybe a nanny nap.
Today I’m grateful for
Proper coffee, a day off work and cuddles from DS2s lovely dog.
Have a lovely day guys and hugs for any who needs one

It is blazing sunshine here in LeShire. You would think it was warm out, it probably is, the phone says it is 11 degrees out. Double figures! I went out and did a tour of the local local charity shops yesterday afternoon (it was N3xt avoidance) and so I have had all my sunshine for the week I think...probably.....I bravely went into the kitchen and did a pantry and freezer inventory this morning. Then I tidied some odds and ends of packets into 15 gingerbread cookies, 6 scones, and a banoffie pie. So brave!
There are 6 of us. Everyone gets their share. There is also a cola flavoured jelly (? no me neither!)
Anyway, I have my very small shopping list for next week, and a good idea of what I am eating. Lots of wholegrains and soups and stews planned. The pantry is slowly getting emptier. I can see some gaps appearing. Good stuff in, bad stuff not getting replaced. If it is not there I cannot eat it.Plans for the afternoon are watching football, drinking tea, and having a lovely bath and deep conditioning my hair.Good cheap fun!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I succumbed and ordered some seeds today, so still on NSD #1. I also bought some items for my business, but that has its own budget (necessary for HMRC).Up early to attend a market, and it was chilly! Wrapped up warm for the occasion. I found some nice things which I hope will sell well. All put away for now.Went for a long walk with the dog this afternoon (plus I walked him after the market) so won't be late to bed tonight.I made chilli for dinner (plus another meal later in the week). I had intended to make a game pie too, but decided to leave that for another day. I now have the usual washing up situation to deal with, and that is enough for one day I think!7

For yesterday: went to see a candlelight concert tribute to 2 brothers who used to harmonise well together, money off coffee for bringing my own travel mug at my favourite cafe and not giving in to buying something.
For today: lovely weather, resting and catching up with some housework.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20138 -

Jealous of your sunshine @f0xh0les, it's blowing a hoolie up here!! Pegged washing out before me & DH walked 4.5 miles, thought I'd lost a t-shirt off the line when we returned, but all ok. Phew!
Peeled & chopped 3kg of carrots & used up 2 old bags of lentils for soup. Some for lunches this week, some to freeze. Hoovered out the car ready to go to the garage tomorrow, then did some sewing.
Boots polished after tea & a long soak in the bath.
Grateful for a simple day, not getting blown away/losing the tshirt, pannetone 😋Use it up, wear it out

Good evening!
Well done on clearing your loan Thrifty ⭐
Hugs Beanielou 🤗 Rest up on ye olde chaise longue
Had a nice day today with Dad. We visited Mum, and then my sister had done a really lovely buffet to celebrate her son's 18th. I did have a little spend over at Dune-🌳 (<-- Elm Tree) haha. A small metal dish (more feng shui) and some of those velcro sticky tab things to stick frames up without using nails.
Today I am grateful for:
1) A lovely family day
2) Shared love and laughter
3) My little car that gets me everywhere!
Today = another spend day
Night for now! x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Hi guys
Today has been a nice quiet day. I like it this way.
Lamb cooking in the oven, it smells lovely. I’m going to serve it with veg , yorkshires and gravy.
I also made a loaf of wholemeal bread in the bread maker. I’m trying to make sure I know what’s in my food.
I’ve also made it into the 12 stones, only half a pound under but at least it’s a new number. So today I’m grateful for
Good food, sunshine and my weight heading in the right direction

Big spend day as OH needs hearing aids and payment was due.Nothing else spent though!Washed and mainly dried outside my old gardening coat. It was so dirty and shabby that I was going to throw it away, but decided I didn't want to ruin one of my good coats doing dirty jobs outside. So I gave it a good wash, and although it is still pretty tatty and has some mud stains that wouldn't come out, it is respectable enough for muddy jobs in the garden where nobody can see me apart from the neighbour if she happens to be out (and she wouldn't care lol)..We tackled the small lean to conservatory at the back of the house this afternoon. This had become a grubby dumping ground over the winter. Of necessity it houses the freezers and a large vintage storage cupboard (which still needs to be sorted), a trunk for shoes and a table for plants. But there were loads of other things in there as well, which I have moved out, mainly to the garage (which is another story...). We moved everything, cleaned behind, above and underneath it all before it went back. Cleaned the glass and wiped down the UPVC so it looks white again, washed the skirting boards and floor. Now looks 100% better. I am shattered though, so have now stopped for today.Cooked pasta in tomato sauce for dinner, as I couldn't face making the pie I had planned. Must do it tomorrow though!OH is doing the washing up!7
