Even better is that if I keep up the overpayments, with the new rate cut I could be mortgage free in 52 months which is only 4 years 4 months:T

    Hi LouiseJ,
Still reading your diary, but haven't dropped in for a good while. Could you stretch a bit to aim to be mortgage free in 45 months instead of 52? That would be December 2012.

If so, perhaps you may want to join the MFiT-T2 challenge here:

    Vacuum and Mop floors[/strike] Done
    Clean upstairs bathroom
    Sort out 1 wardrobe
Make some biscuits and sausage rolls for packed lunches next week
    [STRIKE]Washing [/STRIKE]and Ironing

Not a great deal of progress on my list but I did intend to bake tomorrow anyway and the washing is not dry yet to iron. Popped out for a couple of hours too as I needed some bits and bobs from the shops. I love Home Bargains:T I got 2 beautiful cushions for the lounge sofa for £8 they would be about £12 each in somewhere like Next.

Things are looking up on the Mystery Shopping front.

I have managed to grab 3 this week totalling £34.00:j I only managed a measley £10's worth last month:rolleyes: but I did get a quidco payment of £24 so I still made over my £30 target for January.

£30 a month extra doesnt seem alot but its an extra £360 a year for the overpayment pot and I do quite enjoy most of the assignments I get.

Nothing much to report this week. Carried out the MShops as planned totalling £29.50 (I lost £5 one due to not meeting the exact criteria) but managed to accept another one for next week for £10 so thats £39 in extra income so far:D

Had a lovely meal out today all paid for courtesy of MIL for a family gathering, she even gave us money to cover our petrol as we took both our cars to ferry the family about. Very kind of her.

I am only at work Monday and Wednesday this week due to half term and I am trying not to be eaten out of house and home by 3 teenagers as my nephew is staying until Thursday along with the boys being off school.

    Have a good week everyone.

Nothing much to report really. Drop in base rate means that my Mortgage rate is down to a pleasing 1,24% which means that my standard DD payment is overpaying to the tune of £146.00.

I have just sat and reconciled my bank accounts for end of Feb and will be sending cheques off this week for my March overpayments.

I wonder if the base rate will be lowered again?????
