Today is the day that I give the very last bits of book work back to clients and the business will be gone forever. I am going to throw out all things that I dont need anymore and have a good old clearout of the office.

I have to say that I wont miss it one bit.....................extra money was nice but too big a price for me to pay. I am happy in my new job and will manage to overpay on the mortgage as planned so I am not going to beat myself up about giving it up.

I will get around £100 for final bill from one client although the other is paid up to date still an extra £100 for the overpayment pot.:D

Must ring A&L today to find out how much my standard DD is overpaying.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Good news for my mortgage rate again, todays cut of 0.5% takes my rate down to 1.74%:j

    That should help:D

  • Hi Louise

I had a housework/jobs day yesteday and although I've still got things to do (at the moment I'm clearly deploying avoidance tactics by being on MSE) I always get a real sense of satisfaction when it's done.

I started at 9am yesterday and by 2pm the kitchen and lounge and dining room were sparkling, my bedroom all done and fresh bedding (ironed of course!) all done, one bathroom done inclduing shower which I hate doing and second bedroom sparkling. I even had the beeswax out for my wood furniture!

I've still got a bathroom to do, two bathroom floors and the kitchen floor but the biggest task is that I moved all the 'junk' into the kitchen to sort out so what was a sparkling kitchen now has stuff on most of the surfaces. It's not going to get done today though as I have some work work to do IUKWIM and I'm going out for lunch but I'm at home to-morrow night so hopeful of getting most of the junk sorted

You sound as though you have made really good progress this weekend abouttimetoo, I do feel better when Monday morning comes and I dont have the usual K2 ironing and washing pile it seems to make the week run alot smoother.

I would love to be ultra organised and keep on top of things during the week so I dont have to do a mammoth catch up on a weekend but that hasnt happened yet:rolleyes:

So far I have managed to clear the ironing and laundry baskets, I do have 3 loads drying at the moment though so I will enjoy an empty ironing basket for a few more hours yet:D

I have cooked a chicken for tommorow evenings dinner too. Just having lunch then off to vacuum and mop floors.
