Sounds like you've had a good day Louise and well done on your OP this month, I don't get paid for another couple of weeks so a while to wait for my next fix:p
Well, here I am again on MSE when I should be doing other things, I had a lovely lunch out but had hoped to be home by 6.30pm at the latest but didn't get in until after 8 and I'm now watching BB (I'm a nice person really) and then I'm going to bed straight after so I'm going to have to get up extra early to do what I should have done today!MFW Start Date 1.4.08. Managed to slip in 1 Mystery shop yesterday so that is £10 of the £30 I would like to earn in extra money this month, they are like hen's teeth at the moment:rolleyes:
I have un frozen my S&S isa and am drip feeding it with £50 a month, I thing that is makes sense to take advantage of the low share prices which will hopefully recover before I need the money in about 10-15 years time.
I have reached my target of £200 savings into my Isa for the month.
Weekend to do list
Buy school shirts and tracksuit top for PE for boys (they both seem to have sprouted since Christmas)
Washing & Ironing
Vacuum and mop floors
General tidying
Food shopping
Looking forward to a Thai meal tonight with the family as it was my Mum's Birthday this week, OH has offered to drive:A
Have a good weekend everyone. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Just a few jobs to catch up on today, Thai meal was beautiful but I was a bit hot under the collar at the prices, our bill came to £72 for 4 of us and that was without a starter:eek:
I asked for the bill to be split when we ordered, does anyone else do this? Its the first time I have decided to ask for a split bill but in the past we have all gone on one bill and to be honest total pandemoneum breaks out when people are trying to work out how much they have to pay. Once I overcame the embarassment of asking for seperate bills then it was so much easier when it came to paying....................or am I just being tight:rolleyes:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
I don't think £72 is that bad really Louise (especially if it included YOUR drinks) it's not like you do it every day so you might as well enjoy it and not worry too much. I've never asked for the bill to be split at the beginning but it seems a really good idea TBH.
I see your ironing seems to be still on the list just like mine! maybe after this cuppa...Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I suppose it isnt exceptionally high and it was beautiful food with wonderful service (napkins put on lap for you) The boys had a bit of a giggle at that one:rolleyes:
I have a mountain of ironing from the 3 loads of washing I did yesterday, maybe after another cuppa Eh?But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Oh Dear.............January was a complete disaster Budget wise:o
I think our family was still opperating in Christmas Festive mode:rolleyes:
Time to really get to grips with things and make a determined effort to stick to budget.
I will be sending off my February overpayment soon as if it isnt in the bank then I cant spend it.
Thankfully no Council tax or Water rates this month so that will make things alot easier although I have got a whacking great electricity bill for £263 which is the outstanding amount on my account at the point of switching suppliers. This is the result of my old supplier not reading or taking notice of our meter readings for 3 years:rolleyes:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
