Nothing much to report really. Drop in base rate means that my Mortgage rate is down to a pleasing 1,24% which means that my standard DD payment is overpaying to the tune of £146.00.

I have just sat and reconciled my bank accounts for end of Feb and will be sending cheques off this week for my March overpayments.

I wonder if the base rate will be lowered again?????

yay.gifon the lower base rate. Most people seem to think the BOE will lower base rates another half a % Thursday.

Good news on the base rate cut.

Bad news that my ancient central heating back boiler has been condemned and it is going to cost me £2900 for a new combi system to be installed.

Until I get the new boiler I have no heating so it is urgent that we have it sorted...............ho hum, just a little set back:(

There always seems to be something which turns up that you have to pay and it is hurtful to pay - thats life. We had a bad month in february.

Well the new boiler has been paid for *ouch* but I have put a claim through on our buildings insurance so fingers crossed it will be covered as the boiler was damaged due to a water leak..........its worth a try anyway:cool:

The house is a tip after the workmen have been and Hubbies back has "gone off" from trying to pull out a wardrobe without emptying it first:rolleyes: so its up to me to get this place sorted.

    To do list
Take rubbish to the recycling centre
    Washing and Ironing
    Food Shopping
    Wash floors
    Vacuum

Overpayment for this month is going to be only £200 instead of £550:mad:

If the insurance pays out then I will make up the shortfall................will have to wait and see.

Still ne news on the insurance front

DD overpayment of £146 has gone through so I think that will be it for this month after all. New interest rate means that April's DD will provide an overpayment of £157:j

Mother's Day activities planned for most of the weekend, its MIL's turn today so I am thinking of somewhere nice for lunch.

Insurance have refused to pay out on the boiler breakdown:mad:

Intend to send someting off this month though

    DD overpayment £157
    Cheque £70

    Total overpayment for April £227

Hopefully next month I can get back on track. Off to see if there any good cashback offers on Quidco that I havent done yet.

I have had a bit of a push using quidco to grab some free money and have managed to earn

£20 for applying for a Halifax CC (will never use it)

£50 for applying for a Paydayloan (Borrowed £80 have to pay back £100 on payday *robbing boogers* ) which still leaves me £30 up on the deal;)

£10 Mystery shop so that is £60 extra earned so far this month.......not bad even if I do say so myself:j

Trying to get my head around matched betting (again) but am being put off by certain people on "other" forums:rolleyes:
