OK so here is my progress on my earning extra money bonanza:D

    Week 1 W/C Sat 11th April

    Quidco earnings = £75
    Mystery shop = £10
    Matched Betting = £19

    Total for week 1 = £104.......:j

Cash flow looks a little different though as quidco takes a while to come through and I have had to start with a float at the betting exchange.

Still it looks good on paper:D
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Week 2 update on extra earnings challenge

    Matched Betting £26
Free Bingo (very lucky on this one as was sent a free £2 bonus) £30

    Total for week 2 = £56 :j

Total for Month to date = £160 :D

On another note I have decided to transfer some of my savings into the mortgage account as the interest rates are totally pants.

I have just looked at my spending for the last 2 months and I am ashamed to say that it has been completely out of control.

We did have a trip to London and you would think we were still there. We got 3 takeways last week:o:o

so even though i am making all of this extra money I am not controling my spending.

Silly Lou, so payday looms and I need to get a grip otherwise I am completely wasting my time here. I have transferred £1000 from my savings account to pay into the mortgage leaving us with very little savings left but in an emergency I can always draw back on the overpayments made.

My Mission for next month is.

Set my monthly budget and keep my spending diary up to date.
Bulk buy regular items on payday and make a meal plan for the month.
Only 1 takeaway allowed in the month.
Take Packed lunch into work (this has slipped alot)

Hopefully this will kick start me back on the right road:D

Start of the month and all is going well so far (it is only the 3rd though)

We did a BIG SHOP on Thursday and I am determined to be more organised with the meals. So far so good we have dodged the takeaway and had some lovely home cooked dishes.

The next monster I am going to tackle is the endless snacking going on with my 2 teenagers (and OH if I am being realistic here) so lots of home baking will be happening instead of the usual chocolate biscuits and crisps.

I read that potato skinns drizzled in olive oil, seasoned and placed in a really hot oven are a tasty snack so might try that one too.

Still doing the matched betting and managed to grab a mystery shop for next Friday. Daily Scratchcards have a balance of £1.80 so it will still be a while before I get to the £10 minimum withdrawal.

Oh and this time next week.................................:jI WILL BE OFF TO LIVERPOOL TO SEE MORRISSEY:j
