newbie_2517 said:Hi guys, just an update on my case. After submitting my defence last Wednesday & getting the initial acknowledgement with the auto reply, I still haven’t had anything back. It says 10 days in the email, do they generally use this full amount of time? I also can’t see any change of status on the MCOL website and I have not had a questionnaire from the other side yet. Just wondering if this is all normal? Many thanks.2

Thank-you @KeithP still nothing yet, will keep you posted.1

it may take months
forget about it for now2 -
Oh really, @ChirpyChicken, yesterday would have been 10 days and not had a response from the claim responses email. I thought they would have stuck within the time frame of the auto response. Hopefully they would have said if the attached pdf was not suitable. It is really silly how they send practice direction 5b after.0

Update, received today

Just an update still not had any questionnaire from the other side, hoping maybe this is a sign they've dropped it as I've noticed a lot of people get that sent quite quickly after the defence has been sent? It's all gone very quiet0

Nope, you are just being impatient, ChirpyChicken already mentioned that it could take months, not receiving the N180 from the claimant is no biggie
What you should be doing is checking your MCOL claim history, like checking a bank statement online, to see when the CNBC have posted the paper N180 out to you, after checking that they recorded the defence. Until the CNBC post your DQ questionnaire out, the claim is in limbo
Nothing tends to be discontinued until near the WS stage in several months time, so put your false hopes into the nearest bin
Mediation is now compulsory so download the N180 pdf, fill it in and await further developments, as shown in the defence template thread in the 12 steps3 -
Ah okay I thought it came very quickly. I will wait patiently then. Thank you for the advice and I will go and check the MCOL website! 🙏0

Just an update - I have received the early N180 questionnaire response from DCB legal via email, also with an offer to settle within 7 days of the email. I will await the N180 to be sent to me by the CNBC and I will keep checking the MCOL website. I am on holiday the week after next, is there a time frame to fill in the form and send it back? I have downloaded the template from gov.uk website and I am filling it in now pre-emptively as you kindly suggested @Gr1pr . I am going to check the main thread now but I assume that I can email this back so I could do this abroad if needed. Many thanks1

I think that you have a week, so perhaps do it before you leave the country ? Regardless of the MCOL status2
