Help thread for 4th Feb 48hr hold for payments

Have you entered the tracking number into ebay? Or simply marked as despatched?

Just to clarify, if you check on the RM site does it show as delivered, or is it just on ebay that it hasn't updated?

If it doesn't show as delivered then despite the feedback you will have to wait until 14 days after the order date for the money to be released unfortunately.

I mistook a B for an 8 on the post office receipt. 
I've amended this and item is now showing as delivered and funds are available.

Either Ebay are having teething problems with the new system or things aren't as they say they are.

I sold an item that was bought by a buyer in New Zealand, using Ebay's International Delivery Programme. Ebay states that, 'Funds will be available in eBay balance after the item is delivered to the UK Shipping Centre.'. Well, it was delivered to Ebay's UK Shipping Centre on the 5th March and it's now the 10th March and still no sign of available funds.

The UK portion of the delivery was made by Evri, and their tracking data says 'Delivered, 5th March'. However, the latest entry in Ebay's tracking data is on the 4th March and states 'At the national sorting hub' (Evri's). So Evri say it's been delivered, but Ebay say it hasn't...and thus won't pay out to me. And of course I can't speak to Ebay, instead have to deal with an automated chatbot, which is about as helpful as a chocolate kettle.

I suspect that Ebay delays the tracking data so they can sit on money...and earn interest. My buyer paid £250 and if you multiply that by a fair few thousand you end up with a fairly big sum of money. Multiply that up on a global scale and you can see their motivation to 'tweak the data'.

 Can only quote my own example where I was paid out 2 days after RM tracking showed delivered to warehouse (& several days before despatch onwards) so I would put down to a glitch in updating of tracking.

Just to add it does sometimes work perfectly, had something delivered today, the buyer kindly left positive feedback straightaway and so the funds are available today rather than in 48 hours.

I've had that too, hadn't really twigged it was due to the feedback.

Still waiting for a payment, parcel was sent tracked but not recorded as delivered. Buyer confirmed it had arrived but won't mark as dispatched or leave feedback so having to wait 2 weeks from order for payment

Only a small amount of money so I wasn’t looking to withdraw it but I see I had an item I sent untracked (well LL) which is now gone past 14 days and actually says funds available 12 April.
On MyEbay it says my balance is zero however and no further details.  Anybody else had this , I have only one other low value item pending delivery so I can’t think of a reason for my funds to be held.

To answer my own question, on PC could see more details of my account so I the next item pending delivery I bought the postage through EBay so that was deducted from the proceeds of previous sale.
