Help thread for 4th Feb 48hr hold for payments

The main announcement was made as follows, and this has been a banner on private seller accounts for about 3 weeks now.
Getting paid for items you've sold | eBay
Starting from 4 Feb 2025, sales proceeds of private sellers will become available via eBay balance, 2 calendar days after the order has been successfully delivered, unless subject to a hold. See more information on the changes below.
Changes to when you get paid beginning in February 2025
Starting 4 Feb 2025, eBay will typically make the sales proceeds of private sellers available in eBay balance after the order has been successfully delivered, unless subject to a hold. These are the criteria we'll use to determine when an item has been successfully delivered:
- For tracked deliveries, funds will be available 2 calendar days after we receive confirmation from the tracked service that the delivery was successful
- For local collection, funds will be available within 24 hours after you enter the 6-digit confirmation code the buyer received by email, or when the buyer scans the QR code
- If the item includes Authenticity Guarantee, funds will be available within 24 hours after the item is successfully authenticated
- For items sent via Global Shipping Programme, funds will be available within 24 hours after the item is delivered to the UK Shipping Centre
- For untracked deliveries, or tracked deliveries when there is no delivery confirmation, funds will become available 14 calendar days from the order date
Your funds will appear as Pending in the Payments tab in My eBay or Seller hub until the order is successfully delivered, and any applicable holds have been resolved. If we place a hold on your funds, it will usually be resolved within 30 days, but in some circumstances it may take longer.
For more information, please refer to the Payments Terms of Use.

I'm glad that untracked deliveries are still available and have my fingers crossed this means the new postage system won't be obligatory on the 4th.

Have any private sellers sold anything since this was introduced and can update at how the process looks from their side?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Process was the same as normal and the funds showed as cleared in my balance by yesterday late evening.
This was not in the electrical category though.
I wonder if the payment hold is being treated the same as the buyer fee and only introduced in the electronics category so far?0 -

I sold an item this morning. The funds are showing as available
The biggest irritation I have just now is having to sign in every time I load an ebay page, other than 'sell it yourself'. I make sure the 'keep signed in' box is ticked yet still I have to sign in to every page. Once I can understand to read the payments etc, but no need to repeat for every section within two or three seconds - driving me nuts!Love living in a village in the country side0 -
I've got a couple of items listed in the Sound & Vision category, they are showing at an increased price now.
If one of those sells I'll update this thread but I think that's unlikely as they have been listed for months with no interest at the lower price!0 -
Items sold on 5 Feb and posted today are saying - pending awaiting delivery
Items sold today and not yet posted are saying - pending in ebay balance 21 Feb0 -
I’ve sold two things in past 24 hours, one showing available to withdraw, the other showing available tomorrow
Both under £10 if it makes a difference0 -
Yes, sold a couple of things in the past 24 hours and no difference so far.0
