Hi All

I received this letter a week ago from DC B legal titled letter of claim

I have tried to contact the retailer and they have refused to cancel the parking ticket even though that there were no shop shops open at the time of the alleged contravention

I have appealed the ticket. I believe I responded to a different thread before but did not follow the required guidelines surrounding this so that doesn’t help

I have ignored all previous requests for payment as I have been told to do

But now I am stuck with this letter of claim, which I believe I cannot ignore?

I have absolutely no idea what to do with this and fear I end up having to pay,  Please, pretty please can someone help me!

Thank you in advance

I have absolutely no idea what to do with this.
Which tells us that you haven't read the NEWBIES thread 2nd post yet.

This is easy to respond to, and nothing different or scary.

You aren't new to MSE forum but see my signature if unsure how to find the NEWBIES thread.  Please don't copy & paste the LBC response here. We don't need to check it.

Please edit your thread title to remove the unnecessary scream for help (please, and the exclamation marks which will jar with everyone who sees it).

I have read the 2nd post and will send the following email to info@dcblegal.co.uk... please confirm I am correct?

Small group of MPs say private parking industry needs statutory regulation. Evidence proves voluntary measures and sector's recently introduced new code are still failing to protect and treat motorists fairly.

Please write to your MP ask them to support their fellow MPs action. It's easy with poster Smoof's template letter, just copy/alter to suit and please sign petition 🙏

I’ve removed it, but that is what I should be sending right?

I have now sent them the response by email to several of their email addresses.

I will await to hear back from them, until then their letter can sit in my dark and lonely bottom drawer.

    Thanks coupon!

Its their move next,  not yours,  the unstoppable juggernaut is proceeding in the usual manner,  as seen in other threads here,  scores of them

You could report them to HMRC for possible VAT concerns around the extra charge , then study lots of other threads here,  preparing for the inevitable court claim

So you're saying they will issue a court claim?

Will is a strong word,  meaning definitely

My opinion is that your case will follow the same path as hundreds or thousands of other cases by them, so 95% certain if the case is within England and Wales
