I have given the sainsburys card all my card details ect... the money has vanished0

Trying to understand this. You sent the funds from HSBC? And you gave the wrong details? Was that a card number or sort code, account, and your reference? I requested a transfer from my new card hsbc to my old card sainsburys. I never gave any wrong details all correct. At first they said I put the wrong name of the card it was going to then later found out all info was correct. Got to go into the bank tomorrow0

Got to go into the bank tomorrowYour wording creates confusion.I think you requested to transfer the balance from Sainsbury's CC to HSBC CC. This means that HSBC sent money to Sainsbury's to pay off your old Sainsbury's CC.As it was HSBC who sent the money, only they can and have to trace it and give you the information. Whether it's possible to recover the money is a different story. And generally, it was a very bad idea to do this on a mobile phone where errors are very easy to make, and then to make groundless assumptions and to repeat this without any checks.1

I done this on the banking app. Sorry if the wording is confusing . How am I making groundless assumptions?? They have sent the money to tge wrong person and are expecting me to pay it back?0

Again, how do you know that it was their error, not yours? Especially as, AFAIK, COP (Confirmation Of Payee) doesn't work for CC transfers. Personally, I do my best to avoid entering important information manually and always prefer Copy&Paste. Hence a PC (or a tablet at least), not a mobile. And it's unlikely (although possible) that the information you entered was edited at HSBC.
They wouldn't give me any details of where it was sent and basically said its my problem and to investigate myselfOnly HSBC can trace it an give you all the information instead of fobbing you off. With this tracing information you can go to Sainsbury's. If HSBC fail to do thier job, complain to FOS. For this either you have to get a deadlock letter from HSBC or 8 weeks have to pass after your first formal complaint to them.

Hsbc are still investigating I've just been told. I put the wrong payee name on the transfer. It's gone to allsaints mastercard0

All the card details were correct but I clicked the wrong recipients name. Surely the transaction should of failed?0

Surely the transaction should of failed?Surely, but is it a fact?If the money is somewhere at "allsaints" and the card number really was correct (i.e. wasn't theirs), then only HSBC can recover it. Wait for their final response and/or escalate the complaint to FOS.
