Glad you spotted the fraud.  It's definitely a good practice to check accounts regularly.

Well done on passing pronation. The sense of security is nice isn't it. I just passed my two years at my current role. Knowing that I'm protected even more with employment rights is just such a relief as a solo bill payer.

Woohoo! Well done! I know banks can't see it but sometimes it's nice to have a bit of an objective marker to measure how we are doing!

Hi @rachmac3 I know your post above was from ages ago but I just wanted to say thank you for posting it, you are such an inspiration!

I’ve been on my own debt free journey since the beginning of the year but over the past few weeks I have been struggling with my health and finding it all a bit of a challenge. I came across your diary for the first time today and read it all from the start. This post in particular has given me a new boost of motivation, reminding me to keep going no matter what, I just need to reframe my thinking, and I just want to say thank you!

I will be cheering you on all the way to the Debt Free Hall of Fame! We can do this! 💪 😁

Thanks @EatingBeans, I need to re-read it myself sometimes! It's a hard journey, isn't it. We will totally get there though, I am sure of it!

I am still in my PJs at 3pm! How indulgent!
I am trying to spring clean my house, I want to wash the sofa covers but the rain here doesn't stop long enough to dry things outside and drying them inside is seriously slowing me down. I might put a clothes airer in the conservatory and hope the chickens don't try to perch on it.
I have checked and noted all my balances. I've had to start paying for word/excel etc, which I am not happy about but I tried to persevere with the online versions for ten days and it was driving me bonkers. I've set up the payment as a DD from a rarely used business account so maybe that will kick me up the bum to sort out extra work.
I've jiggled about some direct debits for the credit cards so I'm paying more off the one that the 0% ends on soonest, it'll mean a little less to transfer in September and every little helps.
My car has started to make a strange noise but I'm just going to ignore that for a few days as I won't be driving much.
The saga of the old/second job continues as I am still trying to be free of them. They still keep asking me to do little bits and whilst I am grateful of the extra few pounds I want to hand all equipment back and concentrate on finding a new/second job that pays better and is less mentally draining (the office politics and the restrictive policies and procedures rather than the work itself). I am hoping to hand everything back on Friday.
It looks like the sun is out at the moment so I think I'm going to go get dressed, read for a bit in the garden, and plant out some slug food, aka the lovely little vegetable seedlings I have nurtured in my conservatory from seed. My strategy this year is to plant out so many there are bound to be some left for me to eat after the critters have had their fill.
I also have a joint of pork to put in the oven, which I bought as my weekend treat to tempt me away from a takeaway. I'll be doing some uni work and bit of cleaning and decluttering the rest of the weekend.
I hope everyone has a lovely restful restorative long weekend!
