Slowly but surely! Still good progress though. I know how you feel about the money paid off but just think how we will feel when we post on the Debt Free Honours board when we've achieved it!2

I love when someone posts on there, it keeps me motivated. Sometimes I just read the old posts on there, to remind myself it's possible.

That's great progress being made, well done! Out of all my debts, the overdraft being gone is the one that gives me the biggest satisfaction. It's such a nice feeling knowing that every penny of the bank account is mine (even if I then have to pay other debts with it). I don't have one at all, because I check my accounts every day, and if something has unexpectedly come out, then there's a bit of leeway to transfer the money in before the afternoon without getting charged."If you can dream it, you can do it". Well done. You are dealing with a lot and it takes so much discipline to face it and fix it.Emergency Fund £400.37 / £1,500

LzzyIsGod said:@jwil I always remember you telling me that when I was playing "shuffle the money" a few months ago and I totally agree - knowing everything that drops into your account and seeing a Postive Balance on payday is still the best feeling."If you can dream it, you can do it". The slump continues! Yesterday I was thinking that it just wasn't possible to get debt free and I would be miserable forever.
Anyhooooo! I had a nice tea/dinner, a couple of drinks (I rarely drink anymore), and listened to some old school 90s R&B, and woke up in a better mood.
A friend has invited me away to a villa in Spain in May, which is also my birthday month. Just a long weekend, nothing too crazy, getting in booze and food from a supermarket and having some fun in the sun. I haven't done anything to celebrate my birthday for 5 years. And I was planning a mini break once I'd hit my milestones in June. I've made the executive decision that I'm going, as long as it isn't stupidly expensive. I've done well to get my debts down as much as I have, and I think I really need to do something fun because I have been feeling so crap lately.
There's an online course I can do for work (old/second job), that'll they pay me for, and could get me £100 or more so I'm going to do that today. That should pay for my flight.
The trickiest part will be finding someone to look after my animals for the weekend.
Nothing much is happening with the debts, or at least nothing since my last post. I only have £200 left of my overdraft so that should be gone soon, as long as I can survive this month with the extra spends I've already had to do. I am feeling a lot more motivated now I have something to look forward to!
My diet had gotten a bit crap again too, so now I have some motivation to get back on track with that too!

I love the sunshine too
It makes everything feel better!
Good to have the break to look forward to, it's important to have some treats! I often try and challenge myself to make the money that something costs, so that I can doubly enjoy it. Even if I don't manage to do it, every little bit that I do make helps reduce the impact on my finances!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1 -
Flights booked and 8hours of extra work (old/second job) already done to pay for it.
