Storage unit swaps done. I have a car full of stuff to bring in and sort but that's a job for tomorrow.
I bought a Christmas tree. My old dog broke my last one about 5 years ago. Hopefully my mate will take his hoover soon (he moved out 18 months ago) and it can go there.
Weekly finances done, nothing to report.

Car emptied, photographs sent of stuff to be shipped to check.
House cleaning has slowed because I've tweaked my back. I walked the dogs near the beach for a change and while we were waiting to cross a road someone wound down their window to let their dogs bark at mine. Idiot! So my reactive rescue dog was all over the place as we walked back to the car. The walk had to be cut short and the lead pulling hurt my back.
I have scrubbed the bath and half of the downstairs bathroom. I'm going to have my first bath in about a year.
Oh! And a couple of weeks ago my clinical director asked me to apply for a new job. It's been advertised today so I need to have a good look and a good think. While a pay rise would be great it would involve more travelling and whilst that's fine when I'm well when I'm ill it would be too much. Ideally I will look after myself and not get ill... But.. let's be realistic.
Maybe a second job with a different company would be more realistic, but less reliable. Lot's to think about.
I'll have a think in the bath.Debts 04/01/25 01/11/25

After 3 days I think my house is now as clean and tidy as it was in September before I got ill. And the decluttering I've done means it's probably better!
I'm going to spend my last day off tomorrow doing something nicer and visiting a friend's new house.
I've done my monthly total debt tracker and I'm feeling positive about it.
I've read the job advert properly and seen the pay scale and it's better than I expected so I'll be applying.

@Rhyddid2026 yay to a clean house and a day doing nice things! I'd apply for the job - you can't turn down something if you don't apply and if it's not right for you you can always change your mind.

Tidy house, tidy mind isn't always true but sometimes it helps. The sense of order can snowball just as much as the sense of disorder.
On the job, I say go for it, a job interview is a two way thing and it might help you understand what you want from a career and a work/life balance.
The debt is going in the right direction, don't kill yourself at work just to make it go a little bit quicker.
Hugs

My odd-job man cancelled this morning, this is a regular occurrence in my house, tradies always cancel. It must be on some sort of register. Saved me £20 though I suppose.
I went to see my friends new house and took tasty snacks.
I called into Primani for the first time in about 5 years and stocked up on a few essentials. Money spent (£40) but not too much and clothing much needed.
Wood chips for my garden path were delivered while I was out so I've laid two bags. That will make a massive difference to my trek up and down the garden to the duck run. And to the amount of mud brought into the house by me and the dogs.
A pair of jeans I bought off Vntd were delivered (£10 for Levi's). I lived in Levi's through my teens and twenties. I tried them on and they fit like an absolute glove and I am in love with them. Now I know what size and style fit so well I can keep my eyes peeled for the same in different colours/shades. I am overjoyed by these jeans!!
I went to the cemetery to put flowers on my grandparents grave and walked the dogs around the cemetery for a nice (and quiet) change.
I got home in time to roast a chicken for my tea. I used homegrown potatoes for roasties and they were delicious.
Today was a good day.
Have I mentioned how much I love my new (to me) jeans?

Great bargain for the jeans. Nothing better than a well fitting pair of jeans.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Glad you like the jeans. Annoying about the tradesperson though, it's so hard to get someone these days!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Jeans are a very particular fit aren't they and when you find the perfect ones it's like striking gold!

DD would be so jealous of the ducks. and excellent bargain on the Levi's. I have no idea what size I am in jeans anymore.
