  • I am not a fan of Christmas, and I do tend to leave things to the last minute, but the thought of not being able to buy a single Christmas present until the 1st December is too much even for me. I'll put £50 aside (out of the switch money) for any Christmas presents I see between now and then.
I've just started doing my debt list. Some of the DDs haven't cleared yet because it's a weekend, but the final figure this morning was 30,010. I cannot sit here knowing I'm that close to the 30k goal I set for myself, so I've transferred extra to one of the credit cards from the switch bonus. I'll check it again in an hour before I can change save my table and change my signature. It won't have all the payments showing until Monday but I'll still be very proud if I can say my debt is under 30k! I had set that goal for the end of the year so I am almost 2 months ahead of schedule.
such an amazing achievement. Sustainable progress is so much better than drastic progress if drastic progress means falling off the wagon or stressing about being able to pay essentials like the dentist. you've done so well, you've been so consistent. I hope you are proud of yourself

Thanks everyone, I couldn't have done it without all of the support on here.
Consistency has not come easy to me, I still frequently feel the urge to take drastic measures, but I will keep on plodding on.
