I'm wearing my new jeans. They dried in time. I still love them. I may cancel all my face to face meetings this week so I can wear them every day ☺️Debts 04/01/25 01/12/25

I am fighting the urge to prese the F*ckit button this evening. Just today it seems I'm surrounded by people with fewer morals who appear to be much better off for it. This too will pass. I've ordered takeaway even though I'm not hungry, as a small act of damage limitation. I'll swallow down my irritation with my chicken chow mein.
My compensation from 1stD went into my account today. Better late than never. I've immediately transferred it to my loan so I'm not tempted to do daft stuff with it.

Maybe one day I'll plot my moods on this journey along with the debt totals. I'm sure the moods would have much bigger highs and lows 😂

Ah but the sun always truly shines on the righteous.
Deep breaths. Grit your teeth. Short term gains don't always equal long term aims.
And by that time we've usually either forgotten why we were so narked, got over it or we are dead and so can haunt them foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

(I may have a People who Deserve Haunting List. I will be a very annoying ghost tbh)
Ps enjoy the takeaway. Cheaper than bail.

There must have been something in the air last night.
I ordered two pairs of jeans and a jacket last night. Both from well known higher end brands, that even with the discount are not in the budget. And none are an absolute need. I would like new jeans, but I'm not exactly swanning around in the nude.
Will have to stay disciplined and do returns.

This morning I decided the tv needs to go. I've never had a tv when I've lived alone. This one is still here from my friend living with me in 2024. It's served it's purpose, it's had some use, but I'm spending hours on the sofa watching rubbish I'm not enjoying and don't care about. Often while simultaneously scrolling on my phone (like right now). I've offered it back to my friend. If he doesn't want it back I'll give it away or sell it at the end of the month. Eurgh!
I've got stuff to do and I'm more likely to do it with no TV!

Glad I'm not the only one that isn't bothered by TV. We have one, because there's a child in the house. it's 12 years old and only 36 inches. I run past the houses in the village and see these huge things blasting blue light into the street from my neighbours houses. All DD's friends re in multiple TV households. I just don't get it. I pretty much only use it for taskmaster, or YouTube documentary's.

I've been thinking about my haunting list @LzzyIsGod and I've decided I wouldn't want to haunt people in a scary way, but I would be one of those ghosts that is always moving things so you can't find them. I'd be a not at all scary but really bl00dy annoying ghost!
Nothing much else to report. I packed up a box of my relatives stuff to ship to them last night. There's probably another two boxes worth to go. I'm a little worried because it's all breakable stuff but I have done my best with the bubble wrap and packing peanuts. I'm starting to get a little anxious, silly though I know, that the auction house people might have forgotten or might have for some reason not be able to empty the storage unit this week. I know it wouldn't be the end of the world and it could be rearranged, but when you've been looking forward to getting something sorted for so long I you can get a bit worried that it might not happen. They did say they couldn't confirm until Monday.
This weekend I need to work on the application form for the job I'm not sure I want. I'll probably still apply, I don't have anything to lose at this point except a few hours of my time. It would be a lot more busy though and need to travel more, and I worry I would regret it if I had to leave my lovely comfortable current job. It would make such a difference to my finances and my CV though if I got it.
I tried to book myself on to a course that could lead to ad hoc private work, but they are fulling booked. At least I save a few hundred quid at this time of year. I'm not sure if I can attend the next dates in February though. Ah well, at least I made an attempt to get a second job. There is still plenty of decluttering, sorting, and selling to keep me busy til the end of the year.
I've got a fairly busy week ahead with the dentist again, possible storage unit emptying, a one day conference, and another trip to the GP for blood tests and checks. I think I have a fairly quiet weekend ahead in which to recharge my batteries and prep as much as I can. I'll be very tired next weekend.
The weekly figures are done and are fairly boring, although it is nice to see that extra 100 off my loan (1st D compo double whammy). I must remember boring is good.
